Throat hit is caused by many things including nicotine, with me I don't notice the nic throat hit till I get to 18mg, but it can be increased by increasing vapour temperature - increasing voltage, or flavouring such as menthol or spices, pretty much anything that irritates the upper respiratory tract.

It's no doubt there at safe levels for throat hit, it's something to throw back to the ignoramuses that shout "omg propylene glycol! nicotine!" when damning e-cigs though .

The New Zealand study found that most of the nicotine in eliquid vapour wasn't actually absorbed by the lungs but by the upper respiratory tract, pretty much the same place that mist is going to hit.

Yeah, it's the base that's the main problem with them, most of mine only had two air holes too, heads and tanks work fine on genuine bases, although not quite as well, which is how I'm using them up. I have 75 genuine coils and extra bases coming from Health Cabin though. We pretty much knew they were copies from the outset and I prepared myself for disappointment but the price of them was worth a gamble and I have a nice collection of pretty coloured tanks to match all my batteries now .

Edit : Yes Jen I'm a huge fan of the white one too, something about the white rubbery waxy finish to it, looks really nice against shiny also.

To answer your other question, evods are three parts, the tank with integrated mouth piece, the coil section and the base that the coil screws into. If you get a complete evod you get the a coil section and base, then you just need to replace the coil section when it stops performing, never had a coil burn out on me. The bases need washing out now and again to keep airflow going and I get spare bases for that reason. 510 to ego adaptor will be needed !

Seriously China, just stick to simple shiny tubes, preferably stainless steel or aluminium.
