It must be gremlins, although that man doing sharp corners at high speed on that thing could be potentially unbalanced as well, to the point of ending up on the ground - so pretty apt I`d say considering the randomness.

I just tried it with my older Vamo out of curiosity as I`ve never tried 2 18350s in it before - but it worked OK, showed 7.7v and Ohms were correct as well. These batteries don`t have protection circuitry on them - could that have something to do with it ? otherwise I can`t imagine what it could be

I`m not sure if i`m just being old fashioned, but are they trying to think of things to add for the sake of it ? I couldn`t imagine charging anything that way - I`d rather the phone went off than my PV quite frankly.
I`d rather they redesigned the circuit boards from scratch and made them horizontal to try and shave a couple of centimetres off the length of these longer devices - if they`re going to bother fiddling with anything at all.

The little one is a bit more manageable though You don`t really see a lot of desktop or coffee table vaping devices....like you used to do with lighters, things you wouldn`t want to take outdoors, but had a bit more oomph for keeping nearby without refilling & recharging every 5 minutes.... designer vaping devices that match your furniture or whatever

Very good ! I wouldn`t know where to start with all that stuff. Although I have to admit I`m a little disappointed as I was expecting a 200 litre juice tank and a 300,000mAh battery pack - in a wheelie bin.

If you have a few and cycle through them they should last for a long time, I`ve got 3 well used ones which are 2 years old and they still charge to full capacity in good time and work just fine.

You can top up Li-ion batteries with no adverse effects - 2 half charges is the same as one full one as far as the battery is concerned - it won`t reduce the overall lifespan
any eGo type batteries I think cut off at about 3.3v anyway so they don`t run too low, so you`re OK if it goes off and then charge it, but it won`t hurt by topping it up either.
You do need to be careful with them, I had an 18650 short out once....it was quite frightening at the time.

It`s easily done I`m sure.....where did you buy them from out of curiosity ? Anywhere with a track record for speedy dispatch ?

Depending on where he is, and what kind of charger it is - maybe he could pick one up from a shop tomorrow - as another option ?
otherwise it`s looking like Wednesday at the earliest if you get an order in first thing tomorrow....
