I'm using 18mg and 16mg liquids at the moment and I can't feel any difference between the two strengths, so I might get 16 and 14 next time I buy it.
I smoked menthols and didn't realise they were so much lower in nicotine. I could probably have gone lower on the juice strength, but I wanted to avoid the constant hunger and gaining a stone in weight that happened every time I've tried to stop the stinkies before. At least this way I can reduce my nic use a little at a time, at a speed that suits me.

Aww thank you for all your messages!
Yes I am from MSE - there are quite a few vapers over there and the old-hands on the thread always recommend this place to newbies. I never knew ebay had forums!
I've just ordered two new clearos after reading on here that they don't last very long. And it will be handy to have one washing/drying, one in use and one spare at a time. One is blue and one purple. I'm already planning to get lots of colours so I can co-ordinate them with flavours. Vanilla in yellow, spearmint in blue, bubblegum in pink... ooops, is this how shinyitis starts?
Still, according to my counter I have £38.50 to spend!

Well hello, fellow vapers!
This place looks good so I thought I'd join up. As you can see on my sig-pic-thingy, I'm almost two weeks into vaping. I'd been curious for quite a while and my only regret is not taking up vape a lot sooner.
I started smoking around 16/17 when my friends took it up, they believed smoking keeps you slim. Don't know why because there are lots of not-skinny smokers out there so it's clearly not true. But they'd offer the cigs round, I'd take one every so often, started buying my own, would smoke most of a 20-pack while out clubbing and it wasn't long until I was an everyday smoker rather than a social smoker. And so on for 15 years. Probably a story you have heard 1001 times on here, isn't it?
I smoked roughly 10 a day and have tried to quit numerous times, often racking up several months completely fag-free, and then starting again! I found I didn't really get withdrawals while quitting but it was staying off it in the long-term that I couldn't do. I enjoy smoking. It was the ritual, the routine, the feeling of taking a break, the cig after dinner, after finishing one job before starting another. The habit was more addictive than the nicotine I believe.
Yep, I enjoyed smoking and didn't want to quit but knew I had to, it's impossible to ignore the health implications of it, and as I got up to then passed 30 the whole "it'll never happen to me" feeling went away and I accepted real health problems probably would happen to me if I didn't stop smoking. But I still never cracked it.
A couple of weeks ago I saw an offer for a free disposable cig-a-like and sent away for it. And that was it for me. I enjoyed using it, had a couple of ciggies a day but replaced most of them with puffs on the e-cig. I did a bit of ebay shopping and ordered a cheap beginner kit & some LT ecigs liquids. While waiting for that to arrive I used a Nicolites which again worked great for me.
Once the kit & liquids came I was off cigarettes completely. I'm using a CE5 (sold as a Diamond Mist Electronic Shisha) with a clearo & a 650mah battery, and I'm vaping LT ecigs liquids at 18mg, I've tried and recommend Spearmint & Fresh Peach, I also have Bubblegum, Madagascan Vanilla & Licorice still to try.
I admit I had the silly thought that I'd feel a bit daft puffing on it in public, but then again doesn't a cig in your mouth look silly anyway? I have noticed a couple of people looking curiously at what I'm doing but no-one's asked me yet. I wish they would then I could spread the word! I only use it outdoors except at home, as I like the feeling of having a proper smoke-break.
And the funniest thing I have found is that last night I was standing at a bus stop vaping and a woman was standing near me smoking and I had to move as I couldn't stand the smell. Normally when I try to quit I'll end up following in a smoker's wake to catch a waft of their smoke! Is that really weird or has everyone done that?
After that essay, just one little thing to finish. I use another UK forum which has a long-running e-cigs thread and that was how I found out about this place. AAEC is spoken of very highly on there. I've kept the same username so I'm easy to spot, I know others may not have, so it would be lovely if you tell me who you are if you already know me!
Happy vaping everyone!
