Well: 45mg, and a ten minute battery life. I got a new tag line for the Vype: "Kicks like a mule and dies like a dog." (No offense to dogs, or their owners.)
Seriously, that thing has got "take the money and run" written all over it.

Six months today since my last rollup. I've been on the Nicolites basically for all that time, until yesterday, when I bought my first juices. I know cig-a-likes are looked down upon by most people who are sufficiently into vaping to go on forums, but I will always be grateful to Nicolites for being of sufficient quality and easy-ish availability to see me through this far. I am absolutely 100% certain I will never be going back to tobacco, and I have been since day 3.
Now I've bought my last pre-filled cartos (disregarding unforeseen emergencies, I suppose), and for the next few days I'll be testing out the juices I've picked up yesterday by refilling some of the empty Nicolites cartos I've kept. Sometime in the next couple of weeks, the Vamo and dripper I've ordered will show up, and the shit gets real. Onward and upward.

xs2man: Well, I have (All Hangsen flavours): Tobacco, RY4, RY6, Gold & Silver and Rainbow (meant to be Lambert & Butler). In all fairness though, I have only actually vaped the Gold & Silver and it was rank. I smelled all the others though, and they all smelled equally as rank... I'm prepared to believe that in the case of the L&B, rank may have been what they were going for. That is pretty much my recollection of them, around 1974. Not as rough as Embassy Regal - but let's not venture down that path, eh? If you're getting clean away from tobacco and all its flavrz, fair enough and good luck with it. I'm thinking of sneaking up on myself, stepping my nic level very slowly downward, until eventually (one of my very favourite adverbs, so optimistic!) it's just not there anymore. It's a theory, and I'm sure it isn't original, and it might just not happen. That can be okay too. Also, I think it's a bit late to be claiming your name isn't Pete *now*, don't you think, Pete?

Aw, come on now, Pete, they can't *all* be rank Nicolites' bog-standard tobacco flavour has been an unexciting and generic but acceptable vape that's been my exclusive diet since January. I understand why the cognoscenti spit at the mention of the name, but I've tasted worse; if my first exposure to ecigs had been, say, Go-Lites, I would certainly not have converted with such enthusiasm, and I might not have converted at all. So, credit where it's due. My current thinking (that is, over the last hour!) is that I'll pick up 30ml of something very, very mainstream, like RY4, and a handful of samples of others. If I really don't get along with RY4 as it is, I'll put it aside and tweak it later in my soon-to-be-awesome mixing laboratory. Meanwhile I'll drip my way through the samples, and see what takes my fancy. BTW, I had your blog already open in another browser window when you posted. Haven't finished reading what's there yet, but thumbs up for a promising start. I'm an old hand at blogging. Started in 2001. Haven't posted in over a year, though, and so far there's no vape related material on there. That might change soon, though. I'll post a link if and when I get around to writing something relevant.

Wow. I am slightly taken aback at the warmth of the welcome here (*not* sarcasm, I really am).
Regarding the shinyitis, I'm not really looking at it that way; I'm sure they all say that at first, but my plan, such as it is: equip myself with a solid foundation of vv mod, dripper, rebuildable atty - and then basically get my geek on with the DIY mixology. However, I need to make my first juice purchase(s), to keep me going while I assemble my mixing kit.
I want to start with tobacco flavours because (a) I have been vaping tobacco cartos (Nicolites, "high" strength, "tobacco" flavour) for months already, and (b) I don't want to get stuck, early on, with flavours that might be nice now and then, but honestly: vanilla custard, all day long? I think not. Also (c) I actually like the taste of a good tobacco (I used to smoke Drum, if that's any help) and I like my smoky flavours, in all things - smoked fish, smoked cheese, smoked tea... smoke.
With all that in mind, where are the most favoured tobacco juices at? Which of the juice vendors does a good sample package? I see that alchemists' cupboard do samplers, but their tobacco section is a hard hat area just now...

Another new member. I've been vaping with cigalikes for six months now, after nearly forty years of smoking, mostly roll-ups. At the beginning, I wasn't even planning to Give Up Smoking - my only previous attempt was a nightmare of fail - and then it took about three days to realise that I preferred everything about vaping, that I wasn't going back.
Registered with UKV last Saturday and attended the LSE meet. I was the whiskery bod with the cigalike. Yes, the only one. Had a great time, met a very nice bunch of people, learned a lot. This went a long way to soften the crushing humiliation due to my total lack of Shiny Stuff - but obviously not quite far enough to keep me from ordering a bunch of hardware this week (Vamo, IGO-L and some other bits & pieces). I'd been advised to wait until Vapefest before splashing out, but... then I discovered Fasttech, didn't I?
Ah well, mustn't ramble. Looking forward to meeting lots more people - hopefully at Vapefest, certainly at the next LSE meet.
