Reading that though, the equipment the batteries are connected to must be in rigid packaging. The world has gone mad. Jay

I've read the rules and it does say they need to be either in a device, ie the charger, or in a rigid container not free to move around in the outer packaging. So I think I'm ok. I was thinking of the "nothing on your restricted items" answer but just a bit worried it might get checked as it is in the restricted items list. The last two me I used that answer I don't think the post office staff were impressed, nosey gits.

I've done a search but I'm struggling to find the correct info, in English. I'm wanting to post a single 18650 battery, it's sealed and is inserted in a single channel charger. I've bubble wrapped this and then put it in a jiffy envelope. I'm just worried this won't meet requirements. I know some are sometimes creative with the truth with the post office but I'm posting from Doncaster to Yeovil and I don't want it scanning if it went on a plane or is it more likely just by road ?

I'm a real fan of the subtank minis, got four of them. I like them very much, but they're not quite airy enough unless I'm really lucky when I rebuild an OCC head. The RBAs are OK, but struggle to get them just right. So, is the tfv4 going to be a big improvement? Read about more air so wondered if it's worth buying a couple. Opinions from those who have both please...thanks - Bob i modded the rba base buy cutting the 4 holes into 2 slots for much better air flow I'm also a big fan of the subtank mini, I modded mine a little just be using a triangular needle file to make the juice channels a little bigger. I'd like to know how the tfv4 compares to a subtank mini with a tc build on the supplied rebuildable deck if anyone has any experience. Jay

I had a go with a kooper mini today and I thought it was a decent enough mod for the money. I used my subtank mini with a tc build. I took the subtank straight off my vt40 to try aswell so if it fell well short I'd have probably noticed. I didn't really have time to put it through its paces though so it was only an initial impression. It's a little smaller than the vt40, feels really solid and has a very nice finish, A little niggle I did notice was a bit of play on the sliding battery cover. If you shook it there's no movement or rattle but the way I would hold it I would get a little slide movement, perhaps a couple of mm, I wasn't keen on the menu neither, but that's a case of what you get used to I suppose.

I watched a documentary quiete a while back now about taste and I can't for the life of remember who it was by. I'm a bit geeky and watch all sorts of mundane things. Anyway, from what I remember taste is a subjective thing. I remember something about really spicy food and certain people being super tasters which applied to me somewhat. I can eat what some people would regard as ridiculously hot and spicy food but I can pick flavours and the different spices up while eating it. The next person might well run for a tray of ice cubes, they can't taste anything and all they get is the burn. So I would say it's down to an individual's taste buds and how the brain interpretates the messages they send.

Another thing to consider is the new Vaping regs that are most likely heading our way in I think it's May. Until that's clear I wouldn't stick your neck out too far, the government want their pound of flesh.

I'm looking at this but I rarely use stock coils. I currently use a sub tank mini with tc builds pretty much exclusively as it's so good. Is anyone using one of these with a tc build and if so have you compared to a substank similar build ?

Hi Tim, I'm no expert in these things, far from it and I'm sure someone in the know will be along with some ideas. So with that in mind I can only go on my own experiences. I've found that as long as the initial build in my subtank mini is good then nothing seems to change until I'm ready to change it. What mod are you using out of interest ?

Bit pricey but the hcigar vt40 is small and as the dna40 gold chip I'm not techy and don't really get what step down is. I just watch reviews on the latest stuff and when this was newish out pulled the trigger. Other than the earth screw I think it is coming loose (probably my fault) it's been a great mod. In temp mode my batteries seem to last forever. I'm not sure it's good for stealth Vaping though. I don't think the display can be turned off and it's very bright. Also in temp mode most people are getting more vapour due to the nature of the builds. I'll also add I've forgotten what a burnt hit is like using this. Jay

drunkenbum blakey sydsut letsavit gm111 I've tagged you all as you all offered advice on this little mystery. I think I may have solved this issue. I took the mod apart again and noticed on the bottom of the board a small, stainless I think, plate. The positioning of this seemed to correspond with the slotted screw head on the base of the mod as shown in the second picture. Ok cogs turned, fractionally anyway. I put the mod back together and gave the little slotted screw a little tighten although it did not seem excessively loose it did turn perhaps almost a full turn. Hey presto the problem dissappeared. Ok loosen it a little and the problem is back. You can guess the next step. I'm wondering if is something to do with earthing then as letsavit mentioned. Such a simple little thing, the fix not me. Anyway fingers crossed it's not just a coincidence and the problem does not reappear.

I've had it apart two or three times and the way the board slides into the c frame I don't think I could take a decent pic in situ. I'm a bit owed off to be honest. To me it's a lot of money.
If any of our wonderful modders would care to take a look I would be eternally grateful. Of course postage and time costs would be paid.

It's been a week or two since dropped though. I'd open it up but I'm rubbish with these things.
