I got an Innokin itaste v3 which died when it was only three weeks old. Is there an inherent problem with this version or was I just unlucky? I've had a v2 for a little while (2 months, haven't been vaping long) which I love so thought I'd have another. Is my v2 going to die suddenly as well? Unfortunately I was in France at the time and had only taken the two batteries with me, fortunately I came across a very swanky e-cig shop in a little town and my 'O' level French managed to procure a cheap(ish) Ego battery to see me through. I'm now in a bit of a panic about not having enough back-ups if life expectancy is counted in weeks or months rather than years AND recalculating the savings I thought I would be making once the spending spree was over.

Thanks Perpetua (and Debbie for starting this thread) I've been filling clearos up, not liking the juice, taking everything apart and washing it, losing a few o rings and things etc etc to taste different juices. I read this, watched the video and placed an order. The whole dripping thing had seemed far too advanced for me up till now, you have made it all so simple.

I've bought a few things from them and have had absolutely no problem; orders delivered promptly, intact and to spec so I haven't had to have any dealings with customer service. I am currently waiting for batteries and a charger so now have my fingers crossed (and my toes!)

Thank you, Ginge, I've found it now and bookmarked it for reference when the time comes.

Thanks all, some great suggestions left me spoiled for choice but I've decided to go sci-fi with Ginge7289's Hero APV. I'm sure I'll be back on here fairly soon needing untangled from my coils of wick! Fortunately, Ginge7289 is sending me a few spares so I don't need to panic just yet.

Ginge, I'm still new at this - I haven't gone sci-fi yet - it just looks scary and I wouldn't know where to start. Although I am slightly intrigued?? Its really easy and will come complete with a fresh new wick ready to go. It fits very nicely inside your hand It's very shiny - I think I might be infected! PM'd

That's just teasing telling me about something I can't get any more!!! My security (Trend) tells me that e-cig cabin is an unsafe site. Has anyone had any problems with it?

Hi all, I want a neat wee kit for out and about. Something dinky that will fit in a small bag or pocket, won't be too in your face but packs a bit of a punch. I'm really happy with an innokin vv plus iClear 16 or mini protank but I'm going on holiday and want something a bit less conspicuous. A sneaky little vape device is what I'm after. Advice please.

She certainly doesn't need this kind of hassle with all the other stuff she's having to deal with following a bereavement. I've signed. Good luck to her and all the others that this might help in the future.

Hi Steve, welcome. I'm new, too and joining this forum kept me on track. I was surprised how easy it was to swap cigarettes for vaping but I would have given up a while ago if it hadn't been for the advice and knowledge I've found here. I made some big mistakes to start with and, like you, tried to find a tobacco flavour to make me feel as if I was smoking; reading about other people's experiences made me realise that wasn't the way to go and I've tried other stuff following reviews and recommendations. I've now found a few flavours I really like and am having fun looking for more, I've got some kit that works well and can find out how to look after it on here. I do have two big problems though! 1. I'm spending too much money and 2. I haven't a clue what to do with all the liquids and odd bits of stuff that I bought in error! Good luck, don't give up it's worth it (I had a really annoying cough for years that vanished within a couple of days!!)

Helloooo!!!annihilator & munkymunky and thankyou loobie for starting the thread. My partners life was the positive reason for needing to give up ciggies he has high bp had a heart attack 5 years back and has one stent in heart, two in kidneys....well doc at main hospital wants to start all the tests again...ecg,angiogram,ct,mri because his bp has crept up despite the 15 tablets a day.So having to be the responsible adult out of the two of us I needed him to quit(my willpower is a bit better!).Researched e cigs bought a kit and BINGO!over a month now since either of us have touched a ciggie...I have to refill(slowly sneaking nic down!from 18 to 16),buy juice, clean clearo's but hey I hopefully get to keep my soul mate for longer. His dad passed at 40ish from a heart attack many years ago so theres a genetic link and he's 48 so fingers crossed vaping has given us extra time. This makes him sound like a kid but really he's our back bone I'm just the facts and figures he's the reality check that deals with every day life so vaping is keeping the yang to my yin! Well done to both of you and all the very best. Get him to have a look through this forum and he'll be well and ruly hooked. Fingers crossed.

I haven't come across any other mention of a really positive reason to vape as an alternative to smoking, maybe it's just my problem! I smoked for years and gave up a few times; cold turkey never worked but pregnancy (hormones), breast feeding (hormones) and acupunture (???) were all successful (not all options available to everyone). My problem was that I used to be fat, I lost a lot of weight and kept it off - until I stopped smoking. I did try hard but after about two years it always got to the point that I replace my wardrobe or start smoking again - both cost too much money but I preferred to be a smoker over being fat. It's only been two months without cigarettes rather than two years but I find that I am not eating constantly; I don't need to substitute food for fags. I don't believe it's just the nicotine factor, I think we're into Freudian territory here. Old fashioned but it works for me. Totally agree ! I stopped smoking jan to may using patches and ate like PAC man !!! Put 2 stone on in 2 months started smoking again and lost it ! Then started vaping and haven't had the urge to over eat at all ! Loving chocolate and mocha eliqids though !! It's a grat hobby and the shopping around is soooo addictive ) I'm also loving the shopping around even if I don't really know what I'm looking at a lot of the time! That's where AAEC comes in really handy, I find something interesting then come back here and search - usually find an answer.

No - it was a bit of wishful thinking initially. I've stopped smoking several times over the years but have always gone astray, I never before felt like a non-smoker because the craving was always there somewhere in the background - now it's not, simple as. I've mentioned this elsewhere but the biggest surprise for me is the fact that I'm not eating to compensate. Another bonus is that I really enjoy vaping (now that I've found some flavours I like) there's also an element of excitement in discovering new things and this forum has to be the icing on the cake.
