Hi Annihilator, I don't really like sweet stuff so I hadn't thought about this aspect; I just like puffing and want a nice taste which, for me, isn't too sweet. I have several friends who smoke and are diabetic; do you mind if I tell them what you said?

I felt much the same, Lolly, liquids were either hinting at something interesting or tasted like badly kippered kippers (tobacco flavours) check out tmax-juices.co.uk, the guy only does one flavour, Dr Stanley Clark's Snake Oil, but it's amazing (a bit expensive). I wouldn't know where to begin if I tried to describe it because it's a bit weird and gets you on several levels but it's definitely not tasteless (it also isn't overpowering on taste tho I do find that I need to take a break from it now and then). Good luck and keep posting what you find as I am still looking for the ideal flavours for the between times.

Hi, happyloman, and welcome from an ex-pat Buddy (now living in Wales). This is a great forum where you will find a huge amount of information - I'm well chuffed with the whole experience so far.

Does anyone know whether vaping is allowed in Layton, Cheshire I am in there for an overnighter next week. Just tell them it is zero nic- what can they do then;) cheers Richie The zero nic debate could be interesting. Is there any difference in the vapour if there is no nicotine in the juice? Has anybody bothered to test it?

I haven't come across any other mention of a really positive reason to vape as an alternative to smoking, maybe it's just my problem! I smoked for years and gave up a few times; cold turkey never worked but pregnancy (hormones), breast feeding (hormones) and acupunture (???) were all successful (not all options available to everyone). My problem was that I used to be fat, I lost a lot of weight and kept it off - until I stopped smoking. I did try hard but after about two years it always got to the point that I replace my wardrobe or start smoking again - both cost too much money but I preferred to be a smoker over being fat. It's only been two months without cigarettes rather than two years but I find that I am not eating constantly; I don't need to substitute food for fags. I don't believe it's just the nicotine factor, I think we're into Freudian territory here. Old fashioned but it works for me.

This is exciting - thank you again for your lovely welcomes. Questions now - I'm looking for help with flavours. I have a raspberry juice from Puffin liquids which hints at being really good but just isn't strong enough, I want a proper, full on raspberry taste. I went for Puffin cos there was an option for extra raspberry, this still isn't enough!!! Too many years of smoking, obviously. I also tried Vermillion River's Kentucky Premium Blend - again it's nearly there but not quite, just a little too sweet. I'm hoping that with all the experience available in this forum someone will point me in the right direction and save me from buying any more stuff that I'm not quite sure what to do with. I did stumble across T Max's snake oil which is incredible but I couldn't vape it all day.

I'd just like to say thank you to all the people on here who have so generously provided advice and guidance to all newbies. I started vaping a couple of months ago and found the experience bewildering - it's a whole new world with a strange language all its own. I did some research, failed to understand most of what I found out so panicked and spent money; fortunately I hedged my bets and bought from 2 vendors because if I had only dealt with one of them then I would have given up very quickly and gone back to rollies. Everything went well for a couple of weeks until I realised there had to be more to this lark if I was going to stay off cigarettes; I wasn't entirely happy with my pretend ciggies (even though I had a very smart PCC kit) and I hadn't found a juice which inspired me to stick with although I had acouple which were OK (I did have some which were positively revolting so OK was good!). I got back on my computer and started reading things a bit more carefully; I kept finding links to forums but was a bit apprehensive, I took the plunge and spent quite a lot of time reading bits and pieces here and there. Hence the thank you; AECC is friendly, welcoming and not at all intimidating. I have learned so much just reading various threads in here, I have found things to buy and where to buy them and been able to read reviews and experiences to help me choose more wisely. Thank you one and all.
