The seller is making around -£1.00-1.20 on the sale
In many ways far less than the cost of driving down to the shops or even getting the bus

On line verification systems developed for the on line gambling industry are readly available to perform the over 18 age checks, unfortunately integrating the system represent a fairly large expense plus they have an additional charge per check, this charge for low volume usage can work out a little high.

Reasonable steps, ie, the current enter birthdate, tick boxes, are all thats required for online verification surely? and as snow says this is only for 'face to face' sales? They have merely added e-cigarettes to current legislation ahead of the TPD in April? I'm probably wrong... As of 1st October 2015 online sales by UK base vendors will require a lot more than just relying on the customers honesty in order to avoid a prosecution if the underage customer makes a purchased on a web site with a debit card (given by some banks to children as young as 12 ) and then simply lied when they entered their age or ticked the over 18 box or again lied about their age in order to get a paypal account -- for some reason it is widely considered that Paypal age checks are not up to scratch -the customer is not breaking any UK laws. but the vendor is for not taking steps to prevent the sale to an under 18 On the other hand if a customer used false or doctored documents /copies of documents to prove their age is 18 + they are then breaking UK law and the vendor is covered. credit cards are considered to be safe as they are only dished out to over 18s but if they are use though a Paypal account the vendor can't see if they used a credit card as payment so would need to verify age before completing the sale. so what does this mean for an online vendor Online Venders must now consider everyone is under the age of 18 and willing to lie in order to make a purchase Trading standards can if they wish use under 18s to test websites with for example paypal or debit card purchases but will not be able to submit false documents if requested vendors who use an age verification site would need to refuse a customers order if the verification site could not establish the customers age. |

It is an offence under section 1 of the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981 to make a false instrument with the intention to use it to induce a person to accept it as genuine, and by reason of so accepting it to do or not to do some act which is to their own or any other person’s prejudice.
The Prejudice in this case will be a fine off £2500 if I am to sell to Under 18s
As of 1st October 2015 UK Law requires that before we supply e-cigarettes or nicotine orders that we get proof of age (MIN AGE 18)
If any order containing item listed on this website in Red please reply to the sale conformation e-mail from the web shop requesting an attachment ,a scan or high quality-digital photograph of your identity document or a scan of other documents this return e-mail to cig-eliquid.co.uk must include your order number allowing us to fill the order once your age has been established
We now require
A scan of one (1) of the following from the list below providing it clearly showing your name and age and address ( matching the order address)
As this is for age checking only we will NOT be interested in your image/photo you may cover them - documents /bills can be as old as you like if they provide the information required we will except them as proof of age

We can only accept Paypal account details or Debit card as proof of minimum age requirement if they prove that the Paypal account is over 5 years old
and the debit card is over 10 years
As research has shown most attempts to avoid refusal involve genuine ID, but which does not belong to the person I may also need to get back in contact
If you are refused /Order is declined due to age(under 18) or you simply do not supply the requested details you will be refunded in full LESS the Paypal charge for the transition this currently stands at £0.20p.
The Refund less 20p Paypal fee will be made within 7 working days

just to clear it up the holding of a poisons licence allows the holder to sell poison and requires that the buyers details are entered into the poisons book
To buy poison any customer must prove the need to purchase the poison -
This means for the man in the street Nicotine over 75mg /7.5% for DIY mixing would not be considered a good enough reason and the holder of the poison licence would be required by UK law to turn them away.

I joined a few DIY mixing groups on FB when I returned to vaping a few months ago. Since then I've seen what I consider to be a slightly worrying trend with some new, usually, but not always younger vapers. Here's how it goes when they join the group. Week 1 - Hi just started vaping and wanting to get into mixing my own, because I can't afford Cosmic Fogs latest masterpiece. Where can I buy a good starter kit? Week 2 - What's a good clone recipe for (insert juice of your choice) Week 3 - Where can I get bulk concentrates & nic from Week 4 - Who does large quantities of juice bottles cheap Week 5 - I want 500 waterproof labels and a brilliant design for my new range of juices Week 6 - My new juice range will blow your mind only £18.00 for 30ml roll up I have seen something like this almost every day, some are just making up one shot concentrates like T Juice, others are taking clone recipes and selling then on the open market. I don't have a problem with people selling DIY juice to family & friends, & I'm sure that many take precautions and are mixing some good stuff. I'm equally sure that many are after making a quick buck and will not have followed good practice of cleanliness & contamination control. I think there's a danger that one of these juice magnates will do some damage to vaping one day. Am I overly sensitive?
