I (and my wife, whose "boy" he was) have shed a few tears for him and will focus on all the happy memories we have of him. The house will be SO quiet now, he was a VERY vocal cat. A sad moment I'm afraid.

I'd like you all to say goodbye to Salem:

who passed away this evening at the age of 15. He has become unwell over the last week and the vet was carrying out an exploratory op when he found that Salem had serious intestinal tumors and we sadly agreed he should be allowed to go.

He was a much loved cat. His sister, Layla, is still with us.
