I take two devices, spare batts and atties, and a couple of bottles of juice (oh - and a charger)

Thanks for the kind thoughts of Salem. I (and my wife, whose "boy" he was) have shed a few tears for him and will focus on all the happy memories we have of him. The house will be SO quiet now, he was a VERY vocal cat. (His sister is almost silent)

A sad moment I'm afraid. I'd like you all to say goodbye to Salem: who passed away this evening at the age of 15. He has become unwell over the last week and the vet was carrying out an exploratory op when he found that Salem had serious intestinal tumors and we sadly agreed he should be allowed to go. He was a much loved cat. His sister, Layla, is still with us.

My insurance rose by about £70 this year (for no good reason) to around £520 fully comp. My car is modified - it's a 2002 Saab 9-3 Aero Convertible "hotted up" over 270bhp and 370Nm of torque - so I have to use specialist insurers.

I used to buy hand-made Sobranie Imperial Russian (before the old ladies at the factory died). So that was true then ! i always thought it was an urban myth Not a myth - the Imperial Russians were hand made by two little old ladies on fancy rolling machines. Years back they were on the telly and production was dropping as they slowed down with age. Once they couldn't do it anymore the brand ceased. Touching really...
