Hi all - I'm still a relative newbie (but a total convert!) and I wanted to share a little silly tale with you all.

I was outside a cafe in my home town (Frome. Not heard of it? Well, it rocks) and had a vape. I have a small but perfectly formed kit - itaste vv with iclear clearomizers. From around the corner came a bearded, tattooed, leathered man.... with some kind of massive vaping combo in his hand. We clocked each other. Eyes were locked. He took a drag from his brick-sized equipment and moved past me... with 'win' in his eyes.

Seriously?? Has the lovely vaping community I joined on 28 February come to this? This competitive 'mine is bigger than yours' nonsense? I really hope not and for newbies reading this - stay strong and committed to the equipment you have because as long as it works for you, it really does not matter how big/shiny it is!!!!

yes yes yes yes Perpetua. I found my old ashtray today hidden in the garden. I always used to hide it as I was ashamed of smoking and I didn't want the Wolf Cub to find it. Today I washed it out, dried it and hid it at the back of the shed. Simple victory yet also so symbolic. Good luck with the plants Perp - I'm waiting for the magic 'Now Wolfvape - you are of age and are able to plant something and keep it alive' message!!!!

I hear you Clivia. I never thought I'd be off the stinkies when I picked up my little vapemail package. I wasn't expecting such a break-through (and such a laugh too!) Well done with your journey too. Yay to the vapers!

1,000 cigarettes NOT smoked. Wow. a) I was smoking a disgusting amount / god that was costing me a disgusting amount and b) I couldn't have done it without you guys. Huge thanks to the uber supporters such as Clivia, Roscopecotrain, Perpetua @ionian, djs, Pepperty, babs, lairey, DiscoDes and the numerous others that have been there, helped, supported and cajoled in the last 7 weeks. You're all brilliant and I thank you.

Welcome! I'm pretty new here too and although Somerset based am piskie in heart :-) (I grew up in Saltash and my parents now live in Milbrook - I know, just over the border but still Kernow!!)

Like you I bought my first bit of kit with no real intention of giving up the baccy but one thing led to another and now I'm nearly two months on and happier than I've ever been.

Maybe i'm just a vaping tart but i really don't seem to care what I'm vaping. Strawberry, blackcurrant, soft mint - all good. As long as I've got something in my mouth and I'm blowing it (yes alright - stop sniggering!!!!)

Hey Clivia - am v scared about being my own mixologist. I feel like I'm on Grade 1 vaping whereas everyone else is Grade 8 with distinction!!
