I smoked from 1990 - 2000 (20 a day), gave up using Zyban then started again in 2009. Took possession of my vaping kit on 28 February 2014 and haven't touched a cigarette since. Have been vaping 0mg nicotine juice for a couple of weeks now.
I am astounded how well the transition has gone and I'm thrilled at my new stinky-free life.

But (I know you're all hanging on my every word...ahem!!) in a random stroke of genius, I raided my daughter's pink plastic camera bag and found that it had a MICRO USB CHARGER and now the light is RED and I think my iTaste is CHARGING which means that at some point, I should be able to vape and will be a happy bunny (Wolf) again.
And now I'm VAPING!!!
Thank you all. I think the hive-mind fixed it this time. Everyone's suggestions were tried.
PS Have ordered a back-up.

And now the faint flashing light has stopped......am beginning to think it might well be the micro usb charger not working properly. Oh gawd I wish I had a phone charger that fitted. Grrrrrrrrr.

Oh my giddy aunt! I've cleaned it, I've lifted the pin, I've prayed and now I have a faint blinking red light under the button. It's only very faint, like a cry from a long long way away but..... we might be getting somewhere. I'll leave it charging for as long as I can. Fingers crossed and all that.

Wow I get home from work and all this lovely help! DiscoDes I'm in Frome dragon Thanks and I did smile because it's exactly the kind of thing I would do but no, it's definitely not turning on @the other people - the place I bought it from has sent me a returns label and said that I should do special delivery etc so if I do send it back I'll heed your warnings I've not got any other charger in the house that works with this battery so it's hard to check whether that's the problem. I have tried to 'lift the pin' as suggested by someone but that's not got me anywhere. I'm still worrying that the sudden heat I got was the warning sign and it's completely dead now. It's doubly frustrating because I've been at work all day, nowhere near a bricks and mortar shop and now I'm really really regretting the no back-up mistake. I even (sorry in advance) looked at those crappy garage e-cig things but walked away empty handed. Thanks again. Oh and I'm going to watch that video now tomj777 |

Regardless of how long I charge it for, the battery element is just dead. No lights, no display, nothing :-(

I honestly am at a loss to work out what's happened. The new clearomizer thing that I bought looked exactly the same as the one that came with the kit and I was using it in exactly the same way as I had been using the previous one for 4 weeks. I don't think the kit (i.e. the battery - the itaste thing) is at fault. But I think the new clearo was. Am hoping UK ecig cabin can shed some light....
And yes Adam78. The entire aqwa iTaste has now stopped working. Not even a flicker of power, even when it's plugged in. It's just died.

Hi all - I know all about back ups for your back ups but.....
So I've been very happy with my aqwa itaste (http://**************/e-cigarettes-starter-kits-innokin-itaste-express-vv-black-replaceable-kit.html) for over a month now. Vaping 6mg strawberries and cream from joose juice.
Last week I decided I needed some new clearomizers so I bought 5 x iclear 16 (as they looked exactly the same as the one that had come with my kit).
Package arrives and it's got a tick box insert that says something about ...OHMs. And suddenly I panic as I haven't really been paying much attention to the technical side of all this.
I add the new clearomizer, drop in some new juice. Happy days. Suddenly the whole thing gets very hot, the lights start flickering and now.... nothing.
I've shorted it haven't i?
AAAAAAAARGH.

Today is my 4 week anniversary. Stopped immediately when I switched. Have had a couple of puffs of a rollie since and found it disgusting. Celebrating my success with a juice order  Brilliant - I'm only about 3 days ahead of you but the same story. I picked up my new kit on a Friday (never expecting to give up smoking), tried it, loved it and the rest is history. Am now vaping 0MG nicotine and enjoying very much this new life :0) Keep it up and have fun! |

You definitely have to re-learn your technique! As a smoker one tends to draw hard on the cigarette but with vaping it's the total opposite. Very light, slow draw. I've been doing it for three weeks and have to admit that in that time I've actually inhaled only about three times! All I do is take the vapour into my mouth and then exhale. It works for me. Others suggest you take the vapour into your mouth, pause for a bit then inhale further. It takes some practice but it's truly worth it in the end.
PS I'm very new so I suspect there'll be others along shortly with more precise advice!
