After much experimenting I've finally hit on what I think is the perfect vape for me.
I'm currently using a 4nine and a Kraken (both clones) running dual .32 mm coil SS mesh wicks and vaping Euphoric's 18mg Flue Cured Tobacco juice.
It's a pleasant creamy cloudy vape that hits the spot perfectly, now if I can find a way to make the juice go further I'm sorted, maybe go for 24mg and dilute a bit?

No -one else use S/S mesh, then? ( > ducks & runs for cover< ) Yep, as a dual wick/coil set up in a Kraken clone, works really well for me but seems very juice thirsty compared to silica.

I'd second the advice about a beginner avoiding a Floyd Rose tremolo, it's a 'floating' tremolo which means it relies on two pivot points and springs to keep it in equilibrium or balance, the slightest pressure on the bridge from the palm of the hand will effect the pitch of the strings.
This type of tremolo can be a nightmare to set up even for experienced players. As an experienced maker/repairer I can set up a Floyd Rose in minutes, but that was after many frustrating hours trying to find the easiest way to do it.

Nice work piper1. That's how old machinery should look, nicely worn in and shiny.

That's interesting osdset - as a Les Paul owner, I've never considered it from that point of view. Mind you, my les Paul lives in a hard case and is looked after very carefully. It's an epiphone, not a Gibson (limited budget when I bought it 20 years ago) but I didn't buy it for maintenance, looks or ease of playing - the tone and sustain of solid mahogany was too creamy to resist! Still I'd never recommend it to a new player. Although the action is beautiful, it's a heavy and awkward guitar, and the cutaway takes some bendy thumb skills. Couldn't agree more about the luck of the draw with regards to individual instruments. If you go in a shop and try an Instrument, and they go in the back to get you a stock one when you say you want to buy, don't put your cash down until you've heard it play! It's happened to me and I walked out of the shop when he wouldn't sell me the display model. I'll get that all white strat one day, although I need more guitars like I need more vaping equipment - not very much required... Epiphone! I rest my case! Isn't it ironic that at one point (the CBS days I think) Epiphone were making better Les Paul's than Gibson could. PRS are better guitars IMO (at least when Paul Reed Smith was making them by hand), now they are churned out by the thousands, even the freboard inlay work is sub contracted out to Pearl Works or someone similar. It's a shame Patrick Eggle sold out to Levinson Guitars, Eggle made good quality instruments that easily equalled Gibson, and they were British!

I'm not going to be popular over this but hey............
Many 'name' guitars are frankly shite, I say this not out of any particular prejudice, but as someone that has repaired loads of 'famous' instruments over the years. Out of the big two electric guitar manufacturers I'd put Fender in front of Gibson every day of the week, why? Because Leo Fender looked at designing a guitar from an engineers point of view, he considered repairability as well as esthetics, you can tip a Strat or a Telecaster on it's arse and be fairly sure the headstock won't snap off, try doing the same to a Gibson Les Paul, I've lost count of the headstock repairs I've had to make to Les Pauls.
Personal prejudice aside, factory instruments are in the main, overpriced and badly made. Every now and then one might come out of the factory with the magic combination of tonewoods plus hardware but that's a rarity, I've handled custom shop guitars retailing in the thousands that have a finish that could have been applied by a six year old with a pot of coloured varnish. I kid you not.
Believe it or not, one of my 'go to' guitars is a Cort X6 that I took in for a re-fret years ago and the client never came back for it. It ticks all the boxes, it's comfortable to play and whilst I'm not a huge fan of Floyd Rose trems this one behaves itself. The Cort was probably around £250 off the shelf for whoever bought it and it out-performs most guitars.
Spending thousands on an instrument is no guarantee of quality, as many disgruntled Gibson owners will attest to.

I've done a double wick with silica on the Kraken but I found it suffered from to many dry hits. Now I'm back to using a single SS mesh wick, seems more consistent to me.

Free kit from the NHS? Hmm, that'll be something along the lines of a recycled old brass paraffin blowlamp fitted with a dynamo that powers a torch lightbulb that you are meant to use as a dripper.

I recently bought a 10m reel of .32 kanthal from their e bay site, they included a sewing machine spool of .23 Kanthal as a freebie. That's what I call customer service, what a nice gesture.

I accidentally strayed into the 'sub ohm' universe this morning after making a new coil whilst half asleep. The subsequent throat searing result brought me spluttering into consciousness PDQ.

Deerhunter 2014 and Dino Hunter. I turn off the WIFI connection during games to get round the annoying adverts for other games.

Looks like an example made from uber rare Adamantium to me, if so hang on to it cos it's worth a bomb. If it turns out to be run-of-the-mill copbrassnikeloid, just ignore my ramblings.

I put an order in with Fasttech on 08/07/14, they sent me a tracking link that showed a photo of my jiffy bag all nicely labeled up, it arrived yesterday. Considering some of the wait times I've read about on here I'm counting myself lucky.

Ah - now I understand - Would an alternative be to continue the thread with a tap? Feasible? You probably wouldn't want to disturb the AGA-TD though. Yep, but in my box of assorted taps I have nearly every metric and imperial size I could possibly want, except an M7.5 because it's not a common thread pitch. M7.1 however are two a penny but too coarse for 510 connectors. Solved it by cutting a small groove at 90 deg to the threads on an old clearo 510 connector and using that as a tap for the Delrin insulator. This is an old trick I've done before to cut threads in plastic, file a groove in the bolt you want to use and use it as a tap, works for wood and plastics, might even work on ally.
