Afternoon folks, I have got myself a kayfun 4 clone from vaping geek anD I have to say, its an impressive bit of kit. It has even taken over from my lemo as my bring to work atty as i can turn the juice flow off and avoid making my pockets smell like strawberry fields! The only issue i have with it is the chimney is very difficult to remove even with vape grips! Is this anyone else has an issue with? is there a fix? would a replacement chimney from FT maker a difference? anyway thanks for any advice I'm glad it's not just me.Now I consider myself quite mechanically minded , as I'm a plumber and ever since I stated vaping I've realised that tightening things down like a compression fitting doesn't bode to well. The first time i wanted to do another build it was very tough to remove the chimney from the base , so when I had done the build I decided that less tight was better , even if it left a small gap between the piece that has the airholes in it and the chimney section.So , over the weekend when I decided to do another build I've come to a total standstill , the chimney is stuck fast to the base.It doesn't matter if the juice control is open or closed it still won't budge.When I tried to undo it the tank section undoes it self and the remainder of the juice goes over the table.SO , just having the chimney section and the base left ( after cleaning and drying ) I tried again with my fingers , rubber jar openers ( my cheap alternative to vape grips , but work well ) , even jar openers with grips attached and still NO movement.So , it's now going to have to be returned , and yes I did clean it thoroughly before I started doing anything. I could deal with other little things that maybe a bit tricky, but not being able to rewick or rebuild is a definite mess. slaw , do you think that there maybe a manufacturing tolerance that maybe be wrong here with the Hcigar version , or just that they rushed it out because other cloners had got there first ? The really unfortunate thing is that vapegeek don't have the Moander kayfun V4 listed on their site anymore , is there any reason for this that I haven't read anywhere ? It's a real pity as the vape I get from it is really good , it has transformed my ADV to a whole new level , that being on both my existing VTR or my newly acquired ( and first mech mod ) Kato box mod clone. Montana these are cracking mechs,I've got 2 of them in everyday use, just remember the batteries go head down! I've just watched Shozza's review and Todd's review and it shows them putting the battery , negative end down to the sprung bottom end. Is this what you meant ? Andy |

still no sponsors showing - only 118 days to go, I hope that's not a bad sign. On their website they haven't , but on their Facebook page they have a few , but not as many as I would like to be honest and I am going. I REALLY hope they are going to get a lot more and quickly as it maybe a let down , which would be a shame , especially if the two guests they say are coming , do come. Andy |

vapegeek I know the HCigar Kayfun V4's are in , I ordered one yesterday morning and got it THIS morning. Thanks very much for the quick delivery , but I now REALLY need a mech as my VTR is now up to it's max of 15 watts and it's just quite not enough. Having said that it's a beautiful atty , all the threads bar one are nice and smooth , just the chimney thread is a little sticky and the vape is GORGEOUS. Andy

mart166 Do you have an aftermarket router or a Home Hub still , I have found this to be invaluable to speeds and reliability ? I say this because I did a trial between the two and one has choked speeds and drop outs and just a general PITA where as the other doesn't miss a beat , I'll let you guess which is which  . Andy

What you guys have forgotten is that the VTR has an extension tube for atty's bigger than 19mm and ego threading for smaller atty's.
One thing you HAVE to do is , use the beauty ring that the Subtank came with , because the Subtank's 510 fitting doesn't hit the sprung loaded connection without it , for some reason. I've tried the Subtank straight on to the extension tube and I got a NON come up on screen.Then I undid the atty , took off the beauty ring of the extension tube off and screwed the atty on like that and it doesn't connect.You can feel that it doesn't.
So , as a recap , you need to put the extension tube ( with it's own beauty ring ) on/in the VTR , then the Subtank beauty ring/reducer , then the atty itself.
I'm using the Subtank's RBA section at the moment with a 1.2 ohm build and it's gorgeous.I have only my limited amount of atty's that I had before it to gauge it with and they were Evod's , Protank II's and Mini Fogger's.The vape is really smooth even with ( for me ) higher watts , as I was used to 7-9 watts and now happily sit at 12.5 watts with the Subtank.

If UK Government taxes nicotine would the tax have to paid for patches, gum etc. If so the big pharma will fight this This is a VERY good point. I don't know about anyone else, but did anyone see taxation for patches gum or tablets for those states ? NO , nor did I ! ! ! Andy |

Are these US states going to increase or introduce really big taxation on vegetables as well.
These people in power really are very very thick.As if we don't notice what their doing.Their losing out on donations from the Big Pharma and tobacco then just make it up from nicotine.If you also notice the taxation to nicotine is a LOT higher than it is for cigarettes , how is that possible.There has yet to be ANY proof from ALL the anti's that ANY of these products lead people towards smoking, or flavourings attract children or have any bad health effects.
I think these governments should be made accountable for what their doing and tell us why they are doing it.Not just say, because our tens of million pound/dollar homes need to be paid for.These people are thieves and liars.Every other company around the world has to be accountable , yet they governments themselves don't.Is this what they call democracy ???

As the title suggests really, I'm looking at getting a Kato box mod clone.I would have got one from Vape Geek ( I just ordered a HCigar Kayfun V4 clone from them though ) but they aren't getting any more in until the end of the month and some of the other hits have come up as out of stock as well.

Lets NOT forget what "Totally Wicked" are doing and how long this directive is going to be delayed and changed by the time it comes into force.I don't think for a minute that it is even going to be close to the ones you posted links to and the last update on the one by Clive Bates is nearly 8 months old.
