Lots of good advice lozzy. The other advantage to a VV or VW device is that you can use lower resistance coils with them. Some people prefer standard resistance with a higher voltage, or you can use a lower resistance with a lower voltage to get the same power. If you have the flexibility, you can try different combinations and see which suits you - you may even find that different combinations of resistance and voltage work better for different juices

Hi sooetie. Malibu is right, but if you want to use another type of drip tip on the clearomiser, you can get an adaptor that allows you to do that: www.vapeescape.co.uk/vision-v2-v3-ce4-to-510-adapter~464If you screw on of those on your clearo, you can use any 510 drip tip with it.

It can also depend on how you vape lozzy - I find that if you puff away on anything quite a lot you can start to lose the TH. Sometimes the answer is just to stop vaping for a bit and after a while when you try it again the TH comes back. If this is happening quite often, you may just need more power which means some combination of lowering the ohms and raising the voltage (if you have a variable voltage device of course )

Another +1 for the Igo. I still think the RDA has the edge though!

There are a lot to choose from Jeffc! Box mod or tube mod? If you want a tube mod, what metal? Bottom switch or side swith? Telescopic or fixed tube? and so on. I'd say the best bet is to look at some reviews, here for instance: www.e-cig-reviews.com/Narrow it down a bit to the type of mod that appeals, look at what is available and keep your eye on the classies

Irishcas, I am going to adopt a stern voice now. Never mind a backup battery, you need backups for your backups

Hi and welcome Griffon. I'm another who started vaping without any particular intention of giving up smoking, but had exactly the same experience as you - after a similar period of time as a smoker as well It is a great experience!

Hi and welcome Rob LF are a good vendor and I'm sure you will get good advice from them - they do a whole range of batteries in different makes and sizes, so I'm sure they will put together a kit that suits you. Quality wise, the Janty batteries are probably the best, but the Vision and Riva batteries are fine too. I'd go for ones with at least a 900mAh capacity and you should get the best part of a day between charges. Let us know how you get on

I did exactly the same as Perpy, so I will have to get used to the new Photobucket soon as well! Because I only use it occasionally and don't use many of its facilities it is just irksome to have to figure out how to do the few things you want to do again. Mind you , I am still on Windows XP and Office 2003

Hi Guys Well after a fw days Vaping I think I'm getting the hang of it and haven't had a stinkie today at all. I have a few questions. How long do the Riva 1100 batteries generally take to charge? I'm using them both but when I put them on charge they take less than an hour. I have decided I prefer the clearos and want to get some more, the one in the kit is 'standard' is it a 1.8, 2.4. 2.8ohm? I'm looking at the Vision Ego E3 Can you buy the elastic washers for the drip tips anywhere? If you run a Riva 1100 down until it stops working it will probably take about 3 hours to charge up, but you can re-charge at any point (the batteries have no memory) and how long it takes will depend on how far you have run down the batteries. The standard clearo you have has a resistance of 2.5 - 2.9 ohms. Lower resistance ones will give you a bit more oomph (as it is known technically ). The E3 is a good idea as when it wears out you just have to replace the head rather than the whole clearo, so maybe worth getting a spare head of two to go with it.
