brads42 Thanks for the extra information. I have watched all of that. Afraid I am still out. It is said the faculty was given this task by regulators world wide. Who are these regulators? How did they transmit this request? through what agency? The main instigator of vaping regs in Europe is the EU specifically through the TPD is there any way this (or indeed any research) is going to halt that process? If not how is this research going to impact on regulation in the UK? . My guess is that Chris fondly and honestly hopes it will impact on regulations and that is the strength of it. What such research is much more likely to provide IMO is a great deal of market research to enable BAT to design and target its products. I have no interest in helping with that task. Just the opinions of an old cynic and I have no argument with those who do think this is worthwhile.

might not be a popular stance to take in here, but i for one wouldn't want to be sat next to or across from some cloud chaser puffing away on a stinky juice in the workplace. one or two of the juices i puff on have inspired comments such as "christ that stuff stinks.." etc in social circumstances, so i can understand the stance thats vaping is a slightly antisocial behaviour. and afaik no one is forced to stand next to smokers to vape, walking round the corner is within the capacity of most folk. Indeed I did not use to smoke anywhere it might affect others who have not consented and I do the same with vaping. It is just common courtesy. |

To be honest I always vape with consideration for others e.g. I would not vape around a Hospital entrance but if I have found a spot where it affects no one else no one is going to stop me having a draw.

I had this discussion with a gorilla ( security staff ) at local hospital last week. I was on time for appointment but they were over an hour behind so buggered of for a coffee. Was sat a good 100 ft from outpatients entrance when this gorilla turned up yelling you cannot smoke here etc. I pointed out politely I was not smoking, ( well you cannot use e cigarette as they look like cigarette) at which point I showed him the sigelie 100w+ ( gorilla looked very confused and said but you were smoking I saw it ) I took a pull on subtank even more confused look appeared and he lurched off. Thing is what was he going to do if you where smoking? Shout louder? These hospital ground rules are just a bluff. (SO long as you are not on the staff obviously). |

At least I've been kept in the loop and I understand that issues arise with new mods it was just the delivery dates kept changing so fast....at least this way I get the final production model Mine is a pressy to myself for a year off the ciggies come 25th June so looks like it should be here by then *fingers crossed*till then will just accumulate deferred gratification; my wife always says it is good for me. |

Interesting thread; thanks to all. I have only used mesh in a genny and a Lux dripper. I may now try some mesh/cotton 'hybrid' wick in my Kayfun.

I'm still happy using gg penelopes with nr-r-nr builds and spheroids regularly, plus I like the odd carto tank so there's room for all styles of vaping still  whatever works best for you! <<is good>> I love my penny clone and sophia cartos too. svenson1 How do you wick up a kfun with mesh sounds interesting? That does sound interesting. Must involve a very fine mesh I would imagine. I like mesh but I mostly only use it in a genesis type SMOK RSST atty. Never occurred to me to try and get a mesh wick into my kayfun. |
