Yes, & direct dripping will tell you for sure if it's the attie, as Buck says. You won't be wondering about the filler, or if you have flooded etc. Hope you get your Riva going again quickly

Thanks Jules I'm going to try all that out when I next get supplies. Must admit my rollies look like something I picked out of the refuse bin at the mo - lol

Don't they do 'normal' atties then (I want ordinary ones) Haven't got anything to put an LR onto yet.

I'd come in too if they do 510 atties (x5) It's a lot of messing about for someone though - all the onward posting etc. Would genuinely offer myself to do it but am up to my eyes in stuff at the mo.

Golden Virginia - Depending on its freshness or otherwise, it ranges from pretty damp to dusty dry. SO often spreads his out on a sheet of newspaper to dry a bit. You do need to de-clump it by pulling it into shreds with fingertips I used to get tobacco everywhere and my cigs used to behave like mini volcanoes shooting sparks on backs of hands and wrists *ouch-ouch* and my clothes got peppered with teeny burn-holes - especially brand new clothes Memories, aaaahhh scylla OMG No one mentioned it was on a par with extreme sports!! LOL Have just rolled another but have protection of tea towel on lap Going to need a LARGE bag whenever I go out with all this equipment

Thanks Nana Morning all Bought the golden virginia tobacco & the papers from the little shop down the road. I've done 8 so far, the first 3 looked ridiculous! Smoked 4, they were finished in seconds, 2 kept going out. Maybe I should make them a bit fatter The tobacco seems very lumpy, damp, sticky - which surprised me - I expected it to be more 'crumbly' It's quite 'gunky' isn't it I can see what you all mean about 'faffing about' - it IS a faff !! Can also see though, that it will, sort of, be a relief to pick up the e cig - as it seems to me, to be less faff I'm surrounded in bits of tobacco fallout! so am going to have a bit of a clean up now & a vape!!! (Not ready yet to get rid of all the duty frees in the cupboard!) Early days yet - be fab if it helps tho' & satisfies the tobacco crave, without the instant 'availability' (can see it might well help with the 'transition thing', for those that struggle!

Ahhh yes Scylla I know you meant exactly the same thing - that it would need to be rollies instead of branded cigs - which is also what Nana meant. Everyone was singing from the same hymn sheet, just some were descant & some tenor Makes the song more beautiful Thanks for the tips Raggy mmmmm "M chemical" ?? -interesting.

Ohh, Yes, sorry, I wasn't suggesting doing both (ready-mades and rollies) but to try roll-ups instead of ready-mades.... So sorry - never intended to encourage more smoking Nana, I knew what you meant, think it might work too, and actually have decided to try to REPLACE my silkcuts with rollies. I'm going to get my tobacco & rizlas tomorrow. Then will try the rollie / vape combo! Probably take up so much time I won't meet my work deadlines - lol It will take the 'ease' out of smoking without psychologically being totally deprived of tobacco - might be easier to make the transition to full time vaper then. Certainly worth a try. Thank you. Don't worry Scylla not going to be doing rollies on top of silkcut & e cigs. Maybe this is the way forward for me - give it a go - hey "Never say die"

Re read all these posts several times. Your help much appreciated EVERYONE. Was the weight gain thing your wife's main reason for not continuing, Raggie?? Think there may well be a lot of sense in what Nana & Raggie say about rollies being an easier 'transition' from ciggies to e cigs? Also Jules could've hit on something, with her notion of reverting to tobacco being stress related. Will try some of the 'mixing juices/strengths' suggestions given here - not done that yet. Unsure about the LR atties, Jaki. Didn't I read something about problems with them? Maybe not? Several of you know folk who didn't get on with vaping? -- wonder what didn't 'work' for them? Considering the Riva too, not sure if that's a red herring tho, as I like the 901 & 510. I'm not prepared to waste 6 months of trying to make this happen! It must work!! I'm going to try to teach myself how to do rollies as my next step!
