Sending you love Chrissie. They say when you loose a much loved pet, you still feel their comfort & companionship, at unexpected moments, around you. I hope that will prove true for you.

Oh ((((((((((guys)))))))))) - what kind, thoughtful replies - THANK YOU ALL SOOOOO MUCH. I felt such a looser :-[ starting this thread. Relieved to hear you think this might help others Jaki. Obviously a lot of folk try vaping, don't take to it etc, so, of course we don't get to hear their views & 'what went wrong' 'cause they don't register (mostly) & tell us. My background to all this is that I've been 'at the e cig', with a will, & no mean degree of enthusiasm since JANUARY !! I have many many small juices, as I wanted to try loads when I first started. The only ones I like & that 'do anything' for me are the tobacco flavours (apart from cigar - yuk!) But that's cool 'cause I like several of the tobacco ones. I have every strength from 14mg (my lowest) to 36mg (which makes me cough violently on every 'draw') I have PG & VG in different strengths & find both ok. I use the 901 & the 510, both of which I like. My fave is the 901 passthrough as it avoids messing about! I never really liked my SD. I have smoked daily 50++++ silkcut for y e a r s (started on No6 when I was 12!!) Never rolled a roll up. Won a very long battle with illness in my teens (ashtray next to my hospital bed in those days except when the oxygen was around), had lots of ops (smoked outside). Had last big surgery in Dec 09 (always self discharge these days, as I crave a proper smoke so badly) Lead a very stressful life (like a lot of people). Just had some more pretty bad news (re health). I wanted, as Raggie said, e cigs to be my new ciggies - passionately (-an alternative way of smoking). LOVE my ciggies (FAR too much) - hate my addiction. I'm very strong willed & disciplined in so many other areas of life, yet fail in this. I don't understand why the compulsion is so exaggerated. Maybe, as Foxy says, there's something else in cigarettes I'm addicted to. After all, there are enough substances to choose from! Maybe the rollie idea would work, instead of silkcuts. Will NOT just give up on vaping - I make myself replace some cigs with it every day. Lovely when I meet Lynda, as I smoke & vape & she's so non judgmental of my duality. It renews my resolve every time - till the following day! Thanks for your replies & patience. I know people who think, for goodness sake, just throw the blasted things away & stop smoking! I wish I could - I so want this to work when everything else has failed. 6 months part vaping & struggling lolli

Hi Raggy I'm wondering how your wife's doing, or not, with her vaping? I know you were both doing it together, and then she went back to ciggies. I could well have this all wrong of course? I was wondering if she 'floated' back and forth, or had given up the notion of vaping altogether? Basically, I'm really interested in her 'take' on it all. I still fight every day not to smoke full time. I will NOT give up yet on the vaping, but still smoke a heck of a lot (certainly not the odd 1 or 2 or 10 or .........). Just trying to work out what the triggers are ie: Why it works so well for so many, but not so well for others. Thought it might be helpful to know how your wife viewed it all - might help those of us that are struggling to understand what's going wrong maybe. I know it's a long shot. When I've been totally absorbed with work, I have even found myself with a ciggie in one hand, and my 510 going in the other This is not something I'm proud of, and it's not the norm!! Whilst vaping, often, I'm just longing for a 'proper' ciggie. I am LONGING also though to be vaping only, and in the light of recent not-such-good news, the need has now become urgent for me. I've tried the chilled approach, and I've tried the TRYING SO HARD approach, and I'm not going to get many more chances, I know. I totally believe vaping IS the way forward for everyone addicted to nicotine, so am forever a firm supporter. I just want to be a success story too I have dithered about posting this for days now, but figure if there's any straws to clutch, and help to be found it'll be here, amongst so many kind people, so have plucked up the nerve finally! Sincere apologies to all lolli xxx

And all these "flavoured" juices - I wanted a "ciggy" not a fruit salad! Hopefully it will all arrive tomorrow before we set off about lunch time, and I'll get to try it out in the "non-smoking" accommodation! Love to all. Kath LOL "fruit salad" Know exactly what you mean tho' I'm not too fond of the fruit flavours but love the tobacco ones AND if I want choclate I want to eat it, not vape it Good job we've all got different tastes! Have a lovely break away from it all

The passthrough looks just like the e cig battery EXCEPT it has a power lead coming out of the end with connector

Hi Gilly. A passthrough replaces the battery of your e cig SO - you take your cart & your attie and attach to a passthrough, instead of the battery. THEN you plug your passthrough into a power supply, EG computer port & no more battery running out on you or recharging

Kath, as far as we are concerned, there was no problem at all about you starting a new thread asking for help I think Lolli was just thinking we may have got confused about who we had given what info to & ended up missing something out Oh (((Kath))) - Chrissie is exactly right. I was just worried that with several new people & several threads, it would all be a bit confusing Just wanted it to be as easy as poss for you guys to get your info in one place. I know I was addled with so much info when I first started Took me ages to decide what to buy - almost too many options Important thing is you've made a choice & ordered - congrats Do update us with progress
