Bought the silver one instead :-) Might order a cheapy Vamo while I wait for it to arrive so I've got something new and shiny to test the aerotanks on. Thanks so much for the heads up on vapestorm - they're a cracking deal. Excited to try it all out now.

Ah bugger, had the black istick in my basket for an hour or so at Fasttech and just went to check out and it's now out of stock. Do they get them in fairly regularly or will this be it for a good while?

I like a good crackle :-) Need to choose between the aerotank, protanks or Nautilus now and then I'm done. Decisions, decisions.
Thank you everyone for all your help, you're a wonderful group!

Hiya Jo happy to offer advice and help with pricing and links. Often it helps to know your lifestyle but you've given loads of info Off the top of my head I'm thinking mini nautilus and istick (for small long lasting) and the larger version nautilus with a battery thats vv/vw and takes removable batteries (like vamo or zmax) and probably a cheap airflow adapter on to protect threads - as they all have threads that can be wrecked easily. At least that way you only need nautilus coils for both the 2ml and 5ml tanks. Rather than buying a pair of isticks you could buy an external powerbank for £10 to top it up in emergencies, but its a 2200 battery, it'd take some doing to run out in the course of a day! Ahaaa, powerbank, I hadn't thought of that, thank you. So I could buy an istick & nautilus mini for out and about and perhaps a newer vamo/zmax with larger tank for at home - that'd leave a bit of cash left to stock up on coils to last a while. I've ordered all my previous stuff from Fasttech but they've been small orders before - if I do a larger order like this one, do many people get stung by customs or is it worth separating the order into smaller chunks to try and avoid. Thank you for the advice - very much appreciated. I'm orf to do a bit of research on the dna now too.

It's fair to say I'm a creature of habit, I don't upgrade my gear very often and every time I have, it's been based on the advice I've had from here.
I started off on a Riva nearly 3 years ago and got through about 6 of them over the course of 18 months. Then I went with a Vamo which blew it out of the water (V1 or poss V2). I love the Vamo, have a good charger, about 6 18650s (ave 1500mah), went for a couple of Kanger Evods, a million or so coil heads, a gallon or 3 of HS Premium Menthol Sensation juice and and happily puffed away for over a year. Like I said, creature of habit.
Good things about the Vamo are that it gives a great vape primarily. Things that drive me nuts about it are that's it's so massive, I'd like something smaller but no less powerful. The threading drives me crazy - because I use Evods, they just get stuck and I have to unscrew the bottom bit with pliers to get it out of the Vamo every time I refill.
I've had a read through some threads and have narrowed it down to:
1) A more up to date Vamo that perhaps doesn't have the same threading issues - I'm familiar with it, it vapes well and I can still use my other bits of kit with it. Still big though! It's cheap though and I could probably dump my battery stash and start afresh with a few new and longer lasting ones and spend more on good tanks for it. 2) A Zmax 3 - on the basis that it seems similar to the Vamo but appears a bit more well made. Still a bit big though, although I could do the telescopic thing and just buy some more 18350s. 3) An Istick - big move away from what I'm used to but should give a good vape and is a bit less huge. I think I'd probably need two though to avoid it running out of charge while I'm out and about.
Could I have your thoughts, please?
Also, I hate the evods but I don't know where to begin on the tank front. Does anyone know the most long-lasting ones where I can just replace the coil heads. I could do with a larger one for home use and a mini one that doesn't look too big while out and about. Preferably ones that would use the same coil heads that I could just buy a huge stash of.
It's been a while since spending anything on my gear so have got about £100-£120 to spend but I'd like to spend wisely on stuff that will last and that's built well.
Suppose I'd better try some new juices too to see how they've come on. Are there any nice menthols that have that sweet flavour like Menthol Sensation that I just have to try.
Thanks ever so much guys.
Jo

Thanks so much again everyone, didn't realise there had been even more replies. Well, it's arrived today and I'm really happy, feels so much more solid than the Riva, vape's just as good if not better and it holds more juice & charge. Very impressed! Little big bigger than I expected so I'll probably still take my Riva out and about but for at home, which is where I do most of my vaping, it's absolutely perfect.
I ordered the Vivi Nova to go with it which is brilliant. Also ordered the 2 battery XTAR charger and an extra battery. Hopefully, I can get away with just topping up on the odd battery and the spare heads now, along with building a stockpile of juice while I can.
New toys craving satisfied......for a while :-)
Thank you again xx

They only had the white one in stock but I'll buy some new coloured tubes when I've tested it out. It feels like last year again when I was deciding on my kit. Is the vivi nova just like a Vision clearo, take off the mouthpiece and pour in? Will definitely report back once I've had a try-out.

Oooh, what have you all done now :-) Ordered that one from Safercigs but I'm going to get the charger, spares and a vivi nova from good ol' reliable Jason at Vapeescape. New toys! I love vaping.
Thank you for all your wonderful advice everyone - there's not a more helpful forum in the world than this one xx

They haven't all broken as such, one's dead as a doornail and two just don't hold a charge for more than a couple of hrs. The only one going strong is one of the ones in my original kit that's now a year old. Is this just one of the things you have to factor into your monthly costs of vaping with these type of batteries or are some makes a bit more solid than others. You said the 'mod' word and made me scared :-) Is it really that much of a step up? I'm a big fan of simple, Karma. Thank you for your help.

Hi everyone, haven't been on here for ages. I've had Rivas pretty much from day one but find them temperamental. In the year I've been vaping, I've got through 4 of them (don't know if this is normal or not). I want something that's going to last a fair bit longer and is less likely to let me down while I'm out and about now that I know that vaping's the way I want to continue to go. Can anyone recommend something that's rock solid, will work with my existing Riva clearomisers and isn't complicated with variable voltage, etc.
Thank you.

If it's just the normal menthol, try out their HS Menthol Sensation instead. Can send you some to try if you like - it's about 12mg strength (I mix the 8 and 16 together) but it'll be okay just to see if you like the flavour before you splash out. Otherwise this trying to settle on a flavour gets pretty expensive, pretty fast :-) Give me a shout if you do. Jo xx
