Of course you could, if you agree that an external battery is required, look at the Cloupor mini - it's teeny and with your vaping style will certainly not look "out of place, or unsightly". Just buy a couple of good quality 18650 batteries, a charger, and it will last you all day. I also think the Aspire Nautilus mini would make a good addition. If you're set on an internal battery then I'd agree that the 30W iStick would be a good choice.

I've had no issues at all with mine. There isn't a strap to get the batteries out, but it's not a problem. Not yet tried the TC abilities - waiting on a new Kayfun to put my first Ti coil in. Screen's easy to read, and like the fact that you can lock your wattage in.

Whatever device you decide to move up to, I'd suggest you change it over to wattage settings instead of voltage. Once you find a wattage that suits you then you will get a consistent vape from any device at that setting; if you adjust the voltage it can vary widely.
Think of it like a lightbulb; you don't use more power to make a room brighter - you get a higher wattage bulb; it's the same with vaping. If you want to dim the light you lower the wattage, not the voltage. I would suggest the Innokin MVP20 watt as a good next step. It holds charge for a good long time, is ruggedly made, and although not suitable for sub-ohming, I don't think that's where you're at. You can even charge it in the car (if you've got a usb) and you can charge your phone off it if you get stuck. It also comes with an eGo adapter so you can use you're current tanks on it.

I've had a look at the Vapouriz VBox and the Subtank and they are designed for sub-ohming - the coils fitted are 0.5ohms which should be vaped at between 20-30 watts. However using high PG eliquid at 18mg you will not be able to get the same sort of vape you're used to. You could really do with a tank which will allow you to swap out the coil for a 1.6 - 1.8ohm coil which will then mean that you can lower the wattage to about 7-12 watts. High PG will not give you clouds. The benefit of being able to use high VG is that when sub-ohming you can lower your nicotine level (I typically vape at 3mg) and can vape for longer without dry mouth or light-headedness - which will occur if you try vaping 18mg in a sub-ohm setup.

I would suggest you watch a few YT vids before committing to dripping; sure you can change out flavour real fast, and sure you can get decent cloudage, but it's an avenue that will involve some preparation and a few purchases; wire, cotton, wire clippers, an ohms reader to check your builds on, an understanding of Ohms Law, sharp scissors, and then an atty. I agree for changing out eliquid it makes sense, but I would suggest that you go for a Kayfun or better still 2 Kayfuns. They hold a good amount of juice and are easy to rebuild on (single coils). Fasttech and other suppliers have numerous variations available and you could have as many different flavors as different tanks all with the same deck on them. I mention the Kayfun as I currently have 3 on the go alongside my subtanks - the biggest benefit is if I'm short of funds I can still rebuild, whereas the subtanks have to wait for me to gather the funds for a new pack of coils. I get satisfactory clouds from my builds - I use a 60/40 mix in my juice VG/PG and I also get great flavour.

Only the big one in the middle! Unless you're counting the one sitting on the chair stroking a cat?

Welcome and hope you enjoy your time here! Believe me, it can still work out far more affordable than the stinkies - just gotta keep giving yourself some "treats" along the way. I don't buy every new mod that hits the streets, but I have more devices than I could use in a month if I was to keep changing them out when each one's battery died. But that's the thing - if you compare it to how much you spent before, you can still be "quids-in" and try out the latest new shiny toy that takes your fancy. Just got to learn to pace yourself.

Hi Martin and thanks for sharing your story - I'm 56 and I've have been vaping for just under a year now - my wife's also been vaping as well, which does make it easier. I think you need to buy your ingredients in bulk so that you can make up enough ejuice so that you can have some now and some later. It does taste better after a couple of weeks - some even suggest a couple of months, but for me that's just too long - it's not my all day vape, just occasionally. Fortunately for me I love fruit/berry/candy mixes which are usually "good to go" almost as soon as they're mixed.

I've recently been using Chef's Rebranded Rhubarb and it is strong! I'm using at about 3% and it gives a nice tart edge to my mixes. It smells almost nettle-like so works really well with berry flavoured mixes as well. I've got some Capella Custard V2 that I've been steeping for a couple of weeks, and my next mix is going to combine the two! If it "hits the spot" I'll post it on here.

I've been a vaper since last summer, and also been mixing my own e-liquid since about the same time (as soon as I was aware that there were only 4 main ingredients I thought "I could do that").
I prefer fruit/berry/candy vapes and now have my nicotine level down to 3-6 mg. I belong to several forums as I don't think we can be too informed.
