Thanks, phtumshk, I thought I was missing out on some new gear there! My ignorance of web abbreviations is only slowly improving, for ages I thought that PITA was a reference to Greek bread... I think I have some Kanthal 30awg in the depths of my vaping draw, which is .255mm, so this would probably do it, though if the recoiling goes well I will probably get some thinner Stainless Steel than I currently have - I prefer it to Kanthal.

I usually take a whole bottle out, give it a shake, then decant some into one of these: or these: I use so little nic now I'm down to 3mg that I could probably use an ordinary 50ml bottle. I keep the bottle out and just top up so I only have to go into the freezer once every 4-5 months.

I hope they can fix it for you. I was only half joking about the dna screen, I have an SXK DNA60 Billet Box with a non working screen. It vapes fine but I am unable to change the settings. Cheers Neil Deja vu, mine is exactly the same. wish id bought the 70w china chip version now lol.
Assume you've seen this thread Greigster & phtumshk, seems quite a few of the SKXs BBs are going pear shaped.

jeez that looks a doddle. for some reason i thought the wires were soldered in to the contacts. I assumed this, too, phtumshk . the sort of thing they usually do. It does reveal the Naturevape thing to be a bit redundant as the housing is identical to a stock coil. I've seen atomisers that are actually designed to be rebuilt with more inconvenient systems - they even put those little slots in so you can get the outer case off! I am going to look through my wires tomorrow to see if I've got anything that will get me to 1.6 -1.8ohms at 2mm without making a coil too big for the chimney cover.

I reckon these are what the Naturevape bunch use for their coils, pinched so they are micro. I reckon doing the dry burning thing would only really work if the coil was not very gunked up in the first place. 😊

Thanks for the heads up on the Minifit djs . I am off travelling soon and wanted something easy to carry, so thought I'd try it. It's not bad at all for a device this size, and (to my delight!) I found it's possible to make your own coils for it, see the video below - it looks simple so I will be trying this soon! (the recoil starts at around 5.30 mins)

Thanks all, sad really as Thailand is one of my favourite places - but there are bad things going on there since the old king died, the army chucked out the elected government it effectively became a police state. If I need to I can always go back on the cigs a while...

I have a trip planned in November where we fly into Singapore, spend four days, then go by rail for a week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, ending up a week in Bangkok Thailand (again by rail). I'm planning my vaping right now, but looking like I may need to go back on the ciggies a while if I feel the urge - here's a rundown of what I can gather so far on the legalities: Singapore - Vaping equipment and e-liquid completely illegal - used to be just import and sale, so this did not apply if gear was left in transit at the airport, but apparently this stopped Feb 2018 Malaysia - Fully legal - but not if containing nicotine Thailand - It seems the law is unclear - there is a ban on selling and importing e-gig equipment or juice, but some say it's OK if for personal use. My plan is to split two mods and tanks up into component parts and put them (without batteries) into checked luggage - 18650 batteries will come into hand luggage - then I'll have something to play with in Malaysia, but I wont risk using them in Singapore. I may take a pod to use in hotel room. The last time I went to Thailand was November 2016 - there seemed to be no problem with discreet vaping (i.e. not in public) and there were several places selling vaping equipment. I wonder if anything has changed since then. If anyone has any recent experiences in, or knowledge about, these countries please do post! Thanks!

Agreed beedee . . . . additionally I'd never profess to have the best taste buds going, so the more subtle notes in mixes don't always reach them!
( Love your label btw. )
Good enough tastebuds for me, Perpetua, you’ve never given me a bad recommendation on what flavours to try!

Just found that the Ubertoot style RTA is back on sale on 3FVape, 2fDeal and Fastech Ive had one for about 2 years and, for my carry around needs, it’s the best single coil tank ever. Brilliant flavour, 5ml capacity so lasts me all day, and a really smooth MTL/Restricted DL vape. It never leaks at all if wicked properly. Wicking takes a bit of practice but is well worth the effort. Mine is doing fine (used almost every weekday since I got it) but I wanted a spare, when I went looking could not find it anywhere, I even bidded for a second hand one on eBay and was pipped at the post, so I’m well chuffed. This is the Coppervape version and my first one isn’t, so I’m hoping this is as good.

I bought this here in a moment of weakness. The unusual deck and the coiling jig you put around the central post to get a vertical coil in got me curious. First the pros: I like how it looks The idea is good It is a flavourful vape. However, the cons far outweigh: It is a real PITA to set up - I tried 4 wires and, in the end, only Kanthal 24awg would work, once you have that jig on it there is hardly any space between the lower wraps of the coil and the negative post It's hard to trap wire in both posts using the jig, in the end, it looks like this: Except it is so hard to get it to actually look like this - thinner wires are out, thicker wires create shorts. Getting the wicking right is a pain, too much and it spits and gurgles like mad, too little and you get dry hits. The airflow does not seem to adjust at all and it's neither a full throttle DL or a decent MTL. In summary, not recommended - unless you don't mind a lot of fiddling about for what is a bit of an unusual vape, and, as I say the flavour is nice though. Or maybe someone who has one and likes it can tell me how they set it up?
