About time someone took a sensible pill. Still not willing to pay them. Let's see how that goes, at least it's affordable and a realistic price if I have to pay.

Yes it should surely be warm enough for me to come out of hibernation for this one. If only the last meet had been a week earlier, you would have been able to come in summer attire. What a difference a week makes......bloody silly weather

Follow shiny advice. If you can get some Isopropyl Alcohol ( higher percentage the better) it's great for cleaning threads and sticky mess and it evaporates very quickly so a quick wipe over or dribble down to the 510 pin and a bit of working the pin up and down should clean things up, and you won't have to worry about drying any liquid up. if you can get a set of needle nose pliers around the 510 pin you should be able to lift it. Alternatively you might be able to prise it up with a small screwdriver, but be careful not to damage to seal surrounding it.

Hi folks, Seeing as how I have been to the last three of these meets, I thought I might register here. Was a good meet last night, was good to see you all. Welcome aboard in AAEC, hope to see you at the next meet.

As above, get thinner wire to raise the resistance and reduce the amount of heat held by the coil when you stop firing and to reduce the amount of power you need to heat the coil. All of this will give you better battery life. I prefer a spaced coil as it is less likely to burn through the wick.
You wick should give a little resistance when you pass it through the coil, it should be as tight as you can get through the coil without deforming it.
Your thicker wire and lack of wick has caused the wick to burn through. You just need to adjust accordingly.

Definitely sounds like you have a drain going on somewhere. Mod and board need checking.

I think you'll need to check out Tony B's video. Doesn't look like this one will come with the VooPoo board now.

As the others have said, I think you are using a wire that is to thick and maybe a few too many wraps. I also think that the Prime doesn't need wire more than 0.32 28AWG. For more throat hit try lifting the coil a bit higher off the deck. Maybe try a bit more power also. Wicking as with most Kayfuns needs to be right.
