Hiya Queen B. the most expensive item is gonna. E your nic juice, but you can buy it real cheap from nicvape.com in USA - Gordy has just written a post to say they are doing special deals this week. I just ordered 500ml of 50mg Pg for $60 (you can buy smaller amounts but will be charged $22 carriage. I have just found out that its even cheaper From www.rtsvapes.com! I also got 500ml of PG from boots (had to order and collect next day) for £8.60. Now the most expensive ingredient is flavouring, so I bought 50ml of RY4 from Cig-eliquid.co.uk. I think it will now cost me about £1.67 for 30ml (I currently Vape at 8mg) - £0.92 of this being flavouring. Better than paying £10 plus postage!

If I'm mixing 50/50 pg to vg then I dilute my vg to roughly the same viscosity as the pg. if I'm mixing 80Pg/20vg I don't botter unless I'm gonna use a tank.

I have 500ml of nic juice on route from nicvapes in USA which I should receive any day now. I am planning to buy several smaller glass bottles from Ambulla.co.uk and store in freezer as I am hoping it will last me a year or so.

Hi Gordy.
Do the 306 Atty's fit a standard 510 connector? What resistance are they?
I saw a review saying they were great so would love to try one of yours as they are hard to get in UK
Thanks

These look great! How much are you asking for and when will you plan to have more?

I froze about 10 cartomisers from different manufacturers though mostly boge. Some worked fine others didn't. None of them were as good as new though. I am still trying them out - unfortunately they are asking forever to dry on my window sill with all ths rain

Hi and welcome to the forum
I made the move from about 10-12 rollies a day to ecigs 5 weeks ago. I started with both a Joye 510 mini and an ego (2 of each).
I quickly got frustrated with the 510 mini's. You get about 70-80 5 second drags on them per battery, which sounds a lot, and if you have 10-15 puffs then stopped (like on a conventional tabacco cig) you might get the equilivant of 5-6 cigarettes. However I ave found personally I don't vape like I smoked. For one thing in the evening I chain vape sometimes for a couple of hours (an 510 mini ecig lasts me about 15-20 minutes if I chain on it. However they do look a bit like a regular cigarette, so worth considering. I quickly bought more batteries and. 5 pint multi charger so I could charge them all a once.
The 1100mA ego batteries offer must better performance and one of these will last 2-3 hours of chain vaping.
There are lots of models out there and it's all about the mA's.
Regarding the nicotine to get. You will need a few different strengths. Go for 24mg (might also be written as 2.4%) and some 18mg. 24mg may seem very strong, but you need to consider that vaping is not as efficient as smoking Tabacco as the particles are much larger. Some people say that you will absorb about half as much nicotine when vaping. Add to this the fact your technique will be poor to begin with and if your switching totally over to ecigs you are going to have a fair amount of anxiety going on.
Most importantly of all get enough supplies too last you a few weeks - this includes atty/carts, ejuice and batteries. You cannot just pop to the shops if you run out.
Anyway good luck.

I am using a 6ml tank (45ml SR boge cartomiser) with 50%VG/PG and I find that after a couple of days the performance really drops, so I have been cleaning out in boiling water by sucking through with a 30ml syringe (with a bit of tube on the end) then air drying. I have also put some of mine in the freezer (as some on this forum have found this helps). I have read that this means you can reuse many times, but the weather here is not very good and my first two batches sitting on my window sill have not dried out yet

Hi all
I bought a whole lot of supermarket flavourings all containing alcohol rather than oil as I read somewhere (I think it must have been Griz's stuff) that oils can kill your atty. I add vodka to my VG anyway so cannot see that doing any harm.
So far I mixed up a batch of vanilla using 20% flavouring and after steeping for a few days I recon it tastes better than the Hagsen made stuff I bought a few weeks go. Best of all my wife loves the smell so I feel happier to vape it in front of the TV.
I alo made Piña Colada using rum flavouring (from Morrisons), with some pineapple, cream coconut (I had to source the other 3 from ecig suppliers though), using 25% flavourings and the ratios I found to mix a real cocktail and IMO it tastes better than the Piña Colada from LF
Got myself some VG too for 68p for a small bottle (125 ml I think).
I think the main issue with supermarket flavourings is working out what % to use, but otherwise they represent fantastic value IMHO.

Thank you for all your messages - really helpful and clear. I have just discovered that Daren at safercigs is getting a mak 2 Howitzer soon that doesn't have the problems that the current model has (I did a bit of research and the mark 1 only goes to 4.2 v!) but I am not as confident with his eshop as I am with any other so I am going o go with the LT a soon as the new one is available from liberty flights!
I will save for the provari and see how I feel in a few months.
Bottom feeders I think will have to come later.
Thanks again

I have recent purchased a USB pass through which I love. At 5V the vaping is so much better IMO than at 3.7 (even with LR or dual coil). I am still a bti of a newbie, now 5 weeks since I bought my first ecig and 4 weeks since I quit the tabacco. I started out with cartridges and ego tanks (I have a tornado b tank and an imist), but I prefer cartomisers or dripping now. I also really don't understand yet about the different types of batteries 18xxx's and 14500's etc, but I not intimidated and it seems an obvious move next for better life and reliability and cost.
I have been obsessively researching and now believe that if I had VV I could find the best effective voltage for me. I cannot decide between four options. Please can you give me your views.
1) Provari. Obviously this seems to be the best reviewed VV mod on the market. If I go for one I will have to save for another month or so. Is it so much better than anything else? I do think it's quite big, not sure how truly portable it is.
2)the new lava tube is very affordable - I could order one next week, and the reviews are pretty good. It seems smaller than the Provari and a great deal cheaper. Is the performance comparable to Provari
3)safer cigs sell the Howitzer which seems excellent vale for money. It's £60 and comes with a big battery, a small battery (with a separate smaller sleeve which makes it dinky), charger and two tankcartomiser thingies. It seems very versatile and great VFM but I havn't been able I find any reviews other than on the sellers website.
4) a bit of a curve ball - I have been reading about bottom feeders, and they also come VV and seem great. They hold more ejuice, and are often beautifully hand crafted. I don't really know if I will like the experience though and they tend to be quite large - a bit different from vaping on an ego in public. They are also quite expensive and Los more research will be needed before I'm ready to buy.
Please help. I just don't know where to go next......

Has anyone seen the Howitzer that Darren from safer cigs sells? Looks a bit like lava tube, but the starter kts comes with loads of goodies including a smaller sleeve (don't think it's called that but hopefully you know what I mean) with smaller battery for about £60.

4 weeks today and not missing the fags! Started on 24mg, then after about 10 days cut down to 18mg. Have no been on 12mg for past week. My wife tell me I've been really moody for past few days, and I think she my be right. I do really live to cape though. Is t normal to chain vape for several hours at a time? I think I m going through about 3-4 ml per day, but when I use my ants I seem to vape about 1.5 ml per hour, sho I'm mainly sticking to cartomisers - imo they taste better and use less ejuice
