Thanks, I have contacted Jason about strengths and will go with the lower resistance cartos for now and see how I get on. Will pop back in though to let you know - you lovely lot! Hi Malibu - I had 37 years of the nasties under my belt before quitting them so I know where you're coming from!

Thanks for the advice all, I do appreciate it. Possibly unlike most others, I do intend to stop the nico all together, but I am not fussed about how quickly/slowly. My main concern was to end the addiction to the nasties, which I've done. That said, I do want to be on a lower strength than I was prior to switching to the 8mg - which was 18mg. I didn't know that there were other strengths available, they were listed as 24/18/8 so I just picked the next lowest. I'll ask Jason about other strengths. I will try the low resistance cartos, battery life isn't a big concern as I have spares, may get another one. Or two. Another question- I seem to be changing cartomizers about every 3-4 days, how does this compare? I'm never really sure when to change it and do so when, after trying everything else, I just simply get less vapour.

I haven't been posting, but that's due to the wonderful help I received here when I started vaping, and excellent service from VapeEscape I've been rolling merrily along without trouble. Had my last baddie on 17 Mar and never looked back. I have decreased the nico level and am now using 8mg and have a question or two. Since moving to the 8mg, I find that most of the time - except when I have a brand new carto - I'm really dragging hard and not 'feeling' the vapour, if that makes sense! I figure the downgrade in throat hit would be due to the low nicotine, is this right? I am still using a Riva, love it, and cartomizers. I use the Kanger 510 Standard Resistance cartos but don't really know what standard resistance means . . . would the low resistance be better with the lower nico level? I had used the Boge cartos when using a higher nico, but found them lacking for some reason and have stuck with the Kanger ones since. I just don't enjoy the experience as much as before and don't think that it's all due to the lower nicotine level. Is it? LOL Thanks for your advice, help and input!

It's here, put together and the other battery charging Now the questions, lol. I got the Riva 1100 kit, and it's lovely. I hadn't thought of a drip tip but one was included with compliments and is much better than the standard round thingy Thank you, Jason! Q #1 - To fill the carto it took 2 half full (about) caps, is that right? Q #2 - I know that it will be different for everyone, but is there a general rule to start with on when to top up the juice so that you don't get that burnt taste or run it dry. For me, and I may not have the best eyesight, it was hard to tell when I was filling it how damp it was until it was really too damp Q #3 - Am I doing this right? ??? The button on the battery... click it 3 times for on/off, but when it is on and I'm ready to vape, what's the procedure (oh for heavens sake!! lol). Do I hold in the button for a second first before (and continue holding it in) I try ~or~ just press, hold and vape all at once? Hope that makes sense to someone else. I am quite enjoying Flue Cured, very nice! For all who steered me towards the Riva (and Vape Escape) on the other thread, thanks so much!

Again, thanks everyone! I will go for the Riva kit, now about the order which I'll do tomorrow. I get the kit and ask Jason (in the order form?) to switch to cartos, yes? I'll be skipping "flavoured" juices for now..... Any recs on what juice to try? I didn't see sample sizes for anything but the flavoured ones. Just looking for plain ol' ciggie for the time being Anything else needed, like for filling etc... that will make the experience as simple as possible? Can't be having more faffing about than is absolutely necessary, lol! Will check back in the AM before ordering.

Hi Thank goodness I found you all! Waaay too much info out there for a newbie like myself to try and digest let alone make sense of! A smoker for near on 37 years, bought my first eCig on Saturday. Fed up (with both smoking & trying to find 'my' eCig) I grabbed a pack of disposable Elites when out at the cash and carry with my OH. I realized when I bought them that they wouldn't be the most economical eCigs, but would at least get me started. But now I need your help, please! These are almost great, I've not had a tobacco cig since I started them. I smoked between 15-20 a day of Richmond Superking Smooth (used to be Gold) before switching. The Elite disposable ones are lasting me about a day and a half. I was looking at a few sites, ROK, Ellites & Libbero but I'm still confused, especially about which ones can be refilled without having to buy specific tips. I just really need to come to some decision within the next day so I can get whatever it is ordered and in my hands before these disposable ones are gone. Thanks in advance for any input/advice, oh, and nice to meet you! lol
