Hi All,
Here I am. I long-time lurker and lapsed vaper.
Now I intend to get back on board but I stopped vaping because I had irregular/missed heart beats. I was only on 11% juice and was not a chain vaper. Did anyone else have this problem?
I was one of the first purchasers of Trogs marvellous Screwdrivers. I love it and its still going strong, although I think that I would like the bigger button that he now has.
Now I need some advice about pass-throughs. I gather that you just plug them into the computer and away you go. Do you have a choice of whether to have a button to activate or not. If there is a choice I would prefer to have a button. Is this what is meant by automatic/manuel? Which brand of pass through do you recommend for a good vape and reliability?
Is it possible to get a set-up that plugs into the mains and goes through a transformer into the e-cig without the computer. If this was possible I could have them all round the house. How handy that would be!!
One last query. I'm finding the juice I have a bit harsh on the mouth and throat. Can anyone recommend a nice smooth juice. I'm not bothered about flavour. I'll try anything once!
Sorry for all the questions and a big thankyou in advance to Chrissie and the gang for patiently dealing with this numpty.
I will probably have more questions before I get up to date again, but I think thats enough for now. I just looking forward to getting off real cigs and being able to breathe again and having a clean, fragrant house!
Many thanks Liz

Sorry I can't help but I came on expressly today to ask about these, they plug into the usb and have a battery on the end and you just use your atty and mouthpeice on it ?
Hope you don't mind if I hijack your thread to see the replies too. I have a 901 ( i think) just a normal mini.
Could someone point me to a reliable one or good/cheap seller please .

I have an old 901 passthrough I got from e-cigs.co.uk - I only use it for emergencies (once I was in the US and my SD battery charger failed!). I find the SD batteries last so long that the passthrough is largely necessary. A passthrough will normally work with a USB main adapters, but I can't recommend them myself as I not tried. I know a lot of people rate these very highly, you can email Garry for advice too: www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=58Liz - if you ever want to sell your original "small" button SD let me know, it would complete my SD collection...

Hi Liz & Malibu.. I second the prof's recommendation of the Gary Dibley passthroughs, they are highly regarded... i did notice tho, that the link posted shows a 510 version, i can't see the 910 version on there, but will check Gary's website in a minute... i also have a transformer to plug it into that will give a 5v vape without the need for a computer, i'll look out the link for you as soon as i can find it..... be right back

FIRST OF ALL....... {{{{{{{{ Malibu}}}}}}}}} I'm so happy to see you again xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx PASSTHROUGHS - The basic 901 is unreliable - according to me and according to other victims I've seen around. The best bargain should be the GARRY DIBLEY (from Liberty Flights) but my second one died today after a couple of weeks max I got that American PureSmoker from Simon @ e-cigs.co.uk now renamed Liberro (something like that) but the button stuck on first use and it blew up the USB socket on my posh new laptop; the replacement was not satisfactory - cable too thick and unwieldy, for one thing. Yes, you can get a mains/USB adapter from several e-cig suppliers. One from eBay that provides 5 volts is what Chrissie recommends, but mind keeps falling apart if I'm not careful, I think it needs more glue. Here is Simon's selection - you can expand the pic to see more clearly: www.liberro.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=165&products_id=648I have no further advice on passthrus at the moment. LIZ - BURNY THROAT - until you get your ideal juice, make sure you are keeping your stuffing wet enough. It's a nuisance keeping up with it but not flooding it, I know. Try adding Vegetable Glycerine to your juices - there should definitely be less "hit". You can buy it in the baking section at Supermarket or at a chemist. I leave it at that for now, see what else I should respond to scylla xx

I love it and its still going strong, although I think that I would like the bigger button that he now has. If you could part with your Screwdriver, I think that Trog would change the button for you. scylla

Thankyou so much for all your replies. I am so sorry that I haven't been around. My computer wouldn't fire up and suddenly its started to behave itself again. So thats tomorrow sorted out - digesting all your advice and acting on it. An expensive day I guess!! Thank you all once again. Liz

Thanks for the welcome back Scylla I'm nearly at the end of my holiday cigs and daughter said she just paid £6.01 for L&B at a corner shop I still don't really want to pack in smoking but I can't afford it any longer. After browsing on here I bought 2 new sets at £14 that was mentioned and some chocomint, I still have 4 batteries and 2 atties ,I use them at airports. I was a bit impatient I think and also bought a passthrough ( well I think I got the right one ) from Liberty flights. I'll see how it goes. Daughter and partner went to the smoking clinic yesterday, they both don't seem to want to try this . He has been giving champix and she has lozenges as she has a history of depression and she says the patches burn her. Personally ( knowing her) I don't think she stands much chance on lozenges alone. I'm keeping one new set unopened in the hope she gets desperate enough to try
