Hello from newbie

Hi Guys,

have been lurking and reading posts here for about a week now.

The forum is so good that I have decided to try to become a convert vapor

I have even placed an order with Cloud 9 Vapour because their prices seemed very good. I did get a bit of a shock with the postage though,16 pounds. I live in Crete though so am at a disadvantage from a postal point of view.

This will be a bit of a challenge for me as I have been smoking from the age of 11 and am now 62 lol.

I do hope I have posted this in the right place and if not I apologise.

No doubt you will here more from me in the future.

Hi Ken , I am a newbie too - two weeks now - and weed free. The chaps and chappesses in here are so helpful. They are not always around, so don't worry if you don't get a reply from an expert right away, but be assured that one of them will be in later. Good luck with your vaping. There are plenty of vapers who have smoked for as long as you have Ken and have successfully switched to e-cigs. Even if you just cut down on the real ones, that is a huge bonus.

Cloud9 are a fantastic company to order from, I'm sure you won't be disappointed, and Lisa gives fantastic customer service. I do know of a company in Cyprus who have good postal rates if you find the postage a bit too much in the future

Thanks for the welcome folks you do seem to be a friendly bunch.

I don't have any questions at this stage as I have spent a bit of time checking out the tips and tricks on this site.

No doubt when I get my kit and juices that may change and its good to know that I can get support here.

I don't really want to stop smoking and that has always been a problem for me so vaping looks like a healthy alternative.

For the first time in my smoking history I am getting quite excited at the prospect of getting off tobacco and having a healthier smoke. Don't know if that makes sense but its how I feel.

If you have been lurking on here for a week or more, you will probably know that I am also a newbie. I joined and started vaping around the same time as Hanow.

I am 58 years old, been smoking since I was 16, and was up to 40-50 a day. I was convinced that nothing would work for me.

I LIKED SMOKING !!

I didn't want to give up, I still don't.

I hadn't tried to give up before but had used patches and gum and lozenges when I was in situations where I couldn't nip out for a fag. In truth, I gave up one job because I had to stay at my desk for 4/5 hours without an outside break and I couldn't cope with the stress of that.

Even though I now have a job when I can go outside whenever I want, I was interested in this vaping lark, partly because of my health, and partly 'cos of the money! When you plan your holidays around leaving enough weight free in your suitcase to bring back thousands of cigs, and have to save up extra dosh to bring £1000 of cigs back, that's when it hits you about just how much you are spending on smoking?

I NOW LOVE VAPING!!!!

It works - it's virtually the same as smoking - if it's done correctly, there is no difference. I have found the whole journey amazing.

I still smoke normal cigs, currently around 5 a day - just because occasionally it's easier to grab a fag rather than re-charge your e-cig. But I don't care - that's 40 normals a day less which is around £10 per day saved?

Today we went to a posh garden centre, all undercover. I vaped!!! I don't know if anyone saw me, and I didn't care. It was lovely being able to stay in the place and not keep having to nip outside.
