I had a bit of a crisis last night, no matter what I did, changing atties, batteries, carts, washed filler, etc., nothing seemed to be coming through. I washed the two atties that came with the Riva and left them overnight to dry. I used the LR attie I had, (I had used it previously but noticed no difference in hit) as that was the only one that worked.
The good news is that, all this time, I didn't give in and reach for the normal fags, and to be honest I wasn't panicking as I would have been if I had run out of cigs.
I left my e-cig as it was and have been using it all morning. But I reckon the two normal atties have had it, nothing coming through. I do admit I was a bit rushed so will experiment more this evening and see if I can get them to work. Or have I burnt them out already? Used from 19th June.
The other good news is that my 5 new atties arrived in the post, so another quick delivery and I won't be without anything.
When I compile the Eastmall order, I will be ordering another complete Riva kit, so that I'm ready for anything....unless folks recommend I try another type of e-cig?
I have only had one analogue today, just after I got up because of last nights troubles and not having an e-cig ready "to go". I haven't been outside for one as I normally would, which is just as well as it's raining today!
Feeling all smug and proud now!

I thought of ordering another Riva from Eastmall, but decided that the LF customer service is excellent and their price is pretty much the same as EM. There is a new beautiful shiny e-cig that I am very tempted by www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/the-omega.html and some video of it . I don't own any of Chad's mods, but from what I have heard, they are excellent.

Kath it's hard to say whether your atties are completely dead or not. They may just need to dry out a bit more from washing them.
jaki, that does look nice, but I really don't think I could do with having to click down the end piece that is so close to my mouth.

Looks nice, looks nice? It looks like some of sort of medical intervention contraption!
Seriously, could you justify spending that amount? That sounds silly, knowing how much I personally spent on cigs weekly and justifying it to myself each week, but if you keep going it can cost more than "normal" smoking with everything you can buy. That's why I found it so confusing when starting as to what I actually needed just to get going with my first e-cig.
Do most folks on here have numerous different "instruments" and why? I'm interested, and I think the other newbies would be. I have/had enough trouble keeping my Riva going - with 2 batteries, 2 atties and a box of 10 carts, half of whch didn't fit!
I've just fired up a new attie, with some of Jakis blue filler and I'm now in heaven!

Kath, the batteries that you use in what is known as mods, are a fraction of the price of generic e-cigs. Plus they can be recharged far more times than a generic e-cig battery. So you soon recoup your outlay. To give you an example, I use these in my GG Grant & though I have bought spare batteries, the first 2 I bought a year ago are still taking a charge. The really good quality mods like the GG range, are virtually unbreakable & have safety features like locking buttons so they can't be fired accidently when either in a pocket or handbag for instance. My GG Grant next to a mini 901 : - And my larger GGTS it telescopes to take just about any size lithium battery plus I bought an adapter for it to use it as a passthrough without the need for any batteries.

Kath, i think the reason is that we're all looking for vaping nirvana....that 'perfect' vape, so when we hear that someone has bought a new one, and loves it, we wonder if it's better than what we have, so we want one..... or is that just me? I started with a 901 kit, which was amazing at first, then when i got used to it, the very short battery life bugged me, i knew some of the others had bigger battery mods, so i bought a cheap one, a Garry Dibley torch mod for £20, i loved that too, it lasted longer than the 901 batts....but, it came a cropper in my pocket at work, leaning over a cotside, and snapped it two... i went back to the 901 but missed my mod soooo much that when Trog had a sale on his Screwdriver mark ones, i bought one, it was 2 for 1, so Lolli and i halfed and it was £20 each, plus a couple of batts for it.... for whatever reason, most of us in here who bought the sale models have had probs with them....so i hardly use mine, altho i do go back to it now and again... then, a couple of months ago, i bought a Tornado, and its defo the best device i've had, the drawback being the cost of the batts to replace.... I still fancy a GGTS, and as it's my birthday soon, i was going to ask my family to just give me cash instead of a pressie, so if i get a fair amount, i might just treat myself

Kath, I've just read your offer of doing a bulk order from Eastmall, thanks a lot, I'll pm you an order later on tonight, I'd love to try their LR atties. In reply to your question of instruments lol.
Honestly, the Riva/Tornado is more than enough. It's that good and hassle free. Having said that, i do have a couple of others.
A Screwdriver 2 (SD2), which i bought in a sale, got this to try out the 901 atomiser, as I started with the 510 and was curious to see the difference. Still prefer then 510 atomiser, but its nice to change now and again.
Also have a Mako, which I bought to have different options on size of battery and voltage.
Of the 3, the Mako is me fave, as it has the most power so it's a more satisfying vape. And its very nice to hold and easy to use.

Lilac, The makers of the Mako are bringing out a new device in about 4 weeks called the Megadolon (The don for short). It's an all in one device that takes lots of different battery/atomiser options, including the 18650 battery, which is rated the best of all for power and battery life. May be worth checking out. The Mako can be made into the 'Don', as it uses the same top and bottom, so all that's needed is the Don sleeve ( I think). No idea on price yet, but it's looking a definite for me. Ages since I bought owt new

Here's the Don...
edit....that wasn't the right link, this should be it now...lol
Bucko, was just looking at Dr Vapour's review of the mako, it doesn't look good, did you have all the probs he did, having to buy magnetic battery spacers and extra o rings?

It looks good Lilac, but I'm still not keen on buttons being at either end. I know it makes them look far more streamlined but......

I think i prefer it on the bottom, Chrissie, but not if there's going to be all that faffing around with it, having said that, i would hope they've taken Dr Vapour's comments on board with the Don
I like the lockable switch which i know the GGTS has too, but the pricetag on that might just be a bit hefty for me, lol
i'll think on it a while, methinks...
(might wait till Bucko gets one, then hear from him how it is...hehe)
