Scylla, it certainly does look like you only find out the shipping costs by placing an order (but before actually paying) : " Shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered Shipping Method choices and their prices. We will ship your order shortly after we receive payment from you." When I first added Vape88 to the suppliers list, I contacted them re their terms & conditions & this was the reply I got from them : " Hi Chrissie, Thank for your email and including us in your Suppliers List! We do in fact offer a 30 day warranty on all non sale items and it does state this on the website and that we guarantee no DOA parts. "BATTERIES AND ATOMISERS HAVE A LIMITED 30 DAY WARRANTY EXCLUDING SALE ITEMS! PLEASE NOTE THAT ATOMISERS AND BATTERIES ARE CONSUMABLE PRODUCTS AND SHOULD BE VEIWED AS SUCH. WE RECOMMEND KEEPING SPARES ON HAND. MANY OF OUR CUSTOMERS BUY THESE ALONG WITH OUR STARTER KITS! ALL PRODUCTS ARE FULLY TESTED BEFORE DESPATCH!!" In the case of the items we have on sale at the moment the prices are so low we cannot supply the standard warranty (We believe we are the cheapest in the UK at the moment) We have also had cases of people sending in other manufacturers atomisers and batteries for replacement when they are clearly not the ones that we supplied. Only our own batteries and atomisers are covered by the 30 day warranty.
I Hope this clarifies our warranty and i would like to take this opportunity to thank you again. We will happily come on the forum to answer any questions anyone has regarding our products. We would also be happy for any suggestions or feedback from your forum members. We believe very strongly in our products, pricing and customer service and hope to provide the very best of all 3 to our customers!!
Please feel free to contact me.
Kind Regards,
John
Managing Director-Vape88 LtdBut to be honest, it didn't really clarify their warranty They did come & join this forum but they have never posted. Lol MM - I always think of you as MM

I had seen the bit about guaranteeing "no DOAs" but their other T&Cs are contradictory. Combined with the P&P issue, it means, IMO, that if one is comparing suppliers one is likely to surf onto the next site where you can find out where you stand more easily. Vape88 could be terrific suppliers, but they're doing themselves no favours. Never mind, worse things have happened at sea scylla

ENjuice looks pretty good - there's a discount code available from igetcha69's site. I quite fancy trying the aniseed but will first get the small multipack. Fox

Oops, I also forgot that I'd had a couple of PM's from John @ Vape88 back in October. My head was all over the place at the time so I completely forgot to follow things through. Part of one of John's PM's explaining ther T&C's :
With regards to the sites term & conditions Volusion (our host) has not yet allowed us to change this information as they are a US based company (not us). This is their standard terms & conditions in regard to use of the site. We are in the process of trying to have this changed (no joy as yet!). We would appreciate if you could clarify this on our behalf. Or we are more than happy to do this if this is not against forum rules.
Off to check out Foxy's link :-)

I don't know about other hosts but Proboards doesn't allow their standard Terms & Conditions (on the registration page) to be changed either. However there is a code available in their database that allows for additions. It is unlawful to state that no refunds are given on 'sale' items. Also all goods must be suitable for the purpose etc., and so that should be taken into consideration. We're aware that atomizers and batteries fail but that is no reason to refuse replacement if they're broken on arrival or fail within a very short time. Cases are always judged on what is 'reasonable' and not what the manufacturer/retailer states.

Fox I agree Fox & it's been stated on ECF several times re TW's no refund on DOA multi pack atties/batteries. Ooh Lilac, is that Vape88 you just orderd from & not charged any P&P? I also much prefer the soft squeezy bottles.

Lol lilac, maybe you weren't charged any P&P because they are going to deliver it to you by hand Seriously though, it was John's friendly emails & PM's to me that made me decide to keep them in our suppliers list even though we hadn't had any recommendations of them by members. That & their really good prices as well.

now i maybe wrong, but im fairly sure im not, these items are electrical s and i believe they are covered under the sale of goods act. if for example you bought 10 Duracell batteries from tesco in june and didnt open the packet until november and they were duff then you would under SOGA be entitled to a full refund. i really cant see how at £7 each ish for atties and batteries they are not fully covered under the act. i believe if this was tested in court they would probably have to close all the companies as a rechargeable battery for one would have to last more than 60 days under reasonable use. just my two bobs worth, what do you people think. ragjoy.........

If batteries/atomizers are not working on arrival, they may be returned for a full refund; if used then reimbursement will depend upon what is 'reasonable' and that would obviously be for more than a week if sold as 'new.' All costs should be at the expense of the seller and not the buyer and faulty goods should never be the subject of a 'restocking fee' or other financial penalty. Distance selling (online/catalogue etc) has even more consumer friendly rules and regs such as a set time limit for cancellation and/or 'change of mind' rejection. It's well worth reading up on your rights. Fox
