Ok, so we have bizarre boiling Now, I have bizarre Tornado were atties don't appear to work whilst the cone is on ??? My Riva was fine with the cone, however, TECC Tornado dosen't like it one bit. Anyone else noticed similar? I'm missing my Riva now. Button on battery was so much better, however, the two I have are on their last legs so have been confined to being spares.

I'm thoroughly confused now - I'm sure I've seen users of both say that they preferred the Tornado; but the button is very important to me and you, Hissie, are saying the Riva's button is better Can you describe the difference please? Ta in advance scylla

The Riva button is smooth with a slight rubber feeling, wereas the Tornado button is hard and plasticy.
I can only press the Tornado button with my thumb as it can get uncomfortable on the finger ends.

I'm with Hissie here, I don't like the Tornado button either I find the Tornado batteries aren't as powerful as the Riva ones too, the Riva's have lasted far longer and appear to have more staying power as to the puffing power. I've still got 2 of my very first Riva batteries and although they need recharging far more quickly now they still give a good hit.

Agrees with Hissie and Dee. Dee and I bought our Rivas within days of each other. Mine are now getting poorly - with the charge not lasting too long at all.
Dee - have just treated myself to a GD pass-thru, and that really is good. Very happy with that. xxx

Hissie I very nearly gave up on holiday, nothing would charge right! Damn near drove me mad, I even had a couple of drags of an analogue but luckily decided that it was down right awful.
Now I'm back home the charge is much better and I'm getting proper vapes again. Hopefully now that I've ordered my screwdriver I should be fully back on track.
I think I must over vape as I've got through so many batteries and atties! LOL

Have too say I prefer the Riva batts over the Tornado's, they just seem to have more va va vrooooooom!!
Great to hear you've taken the plunge with a SD Dee, with a LR atty I'm sure you'll be well pleased.
It is worth having a few spare batteries in hand as a back up would be my only suggestion.

Thanks for refreshing my memory about the buttons - I don't think either of them will suit me as I didn't get on at all with the Slim Jym button, which has a rubbery feel. It wasn't the rubber but the smallness and the pressure required that was uncomfortable. Anyway, I've been and gone and ordered Simon's Amo. scylla

It seems to be a case of 'orses 4 co'rses as I much prefer the Tornado batteries to my Rivas. I seem to get a much stronger vapour even though my standard Tornados are much older than the Rivas. The Rivas don't always work with my mega cartomizers either although they 'come and go.' I'm now using the mega Tornado batteries that are miles oomphier than anything else I have and last a whole day on one charge.
I haven't yet tried the automatic version, has anyone else here?

The main thing is that I've been able to forgive myself for not being clear over which of the Tornegorivas receives the highest marks scylla
