I took a few pics, Scylla, but I will have to post them later. It's time for me to get moving and do something about this mess. Jerry

Glad to hear you didn't lose your power Jerry & hope you are coping OK with dealing with the resulting mess from the snow & storm.

I coped with it Chrissie. It was miserable out there with the snow and the temperature around -6 celsius, not to mention the howling wind, that blew the snow on me to the point that I was soaking wet. A hot shower and a change into dry clothing took care of that. Now it's time for some hot food and a rest.

Thank you, Anne and yes Scylla, m'lady's being cruel today !! Counting the wind chill factor, we will be heading to around -25 celsius tonight. Ok, here are the pics that I took this morning. The official tally for Cumberland was 12" of snow. That's my old, but still useful shed and my poor snow laden Colorado Blue Spruce tree. My Dad's Hyundai. My walk, leading to the street is under the snow, somewhere.

Lovely pics, Jerry! I've resized them to 800x600 so that don't stretch the thread sideways, otherwise peeps have to scroll to see the whole pics and read the words. I have to do the same with mine. I presume your big trees are lovely and green in the spring and summer, and red, russet and gold in the autumn/fall scylla

Scylla, I will make a note of that, 800 x 600. Yes, in the summer the house is barely visible from the road. It's like I have a cottage in a clearing in the forest. In the autumn the colors of the leaves are very beautiful, but then they fall and I have a lot of raking to do. lol. Chrissie, I didn't always hate snow, but the older I get, the less I like it. Lilac, my Dad does very well for his age, he is still very independent.

Ah but Scylla, I now need your help cos I've forgotten how the heck to resize pics posted by others. Apart from C&Ping, resizing & then hosting myself. But I know there is a n easier way by altering the link - just cant' remember how to do it.
