Cornflakes it sounds like you're doing well already! The technique to vaping is very different to smoking. With a cig you take a quick deep drag, and pull it as far into the lungs as possible then blow out the smoke. With vaping you need to take a long (3-4 second) slow draw. Keep the vapour in your mouth and throat for a couple of seconds (this is where the nic is absorbed) then either inhale it or simply exhale, prefereably through the nose which helps with the flavour

That's hubby's Riva and more juice ordered. Almost £100 already spent on vaping this month so it has to work for us both, failing now just is not an option

Can anyone point me to any threads on how to look after my kit? I imagine the clearo will need cleaning at some point, do carts need cleaning too?

It's important to keep the connectors on your batteries/chargers/cartos etc clean. a cotton bud is quite handy for this or alcohol swabs. also don't tighten anything up too much! remember when filling cartomisers to avoid the centre hole and hold a tissue over the end and blow any excess juice out

Another noob question, I am starting to enjoy using the clearo now but I think I am going to be a vaper that likes a few different juices in one day. If I bought more clearo's do they have stoppers like the cartomisers so I could carry two or 3 filled to interchange?

Hi Cornflake, welcome to AAEC I use clearo's and I have a few on the go with different flavour juices in, but there's no need to 'stopper' them as they are sealed once you screw the mouthpiece in, so you can store them as they are, even laying them down if you want. Hope this helps.

if you are looking you use small amounts of a number of different juices, the i3/ce2 clearos might be good. I carry a couple of these as well as my CE4 and mini nova, allowing me to chop and change. The big advantage here is that they are the same diameter as cartos, so you can stopper them if you want, for added peace of mind. The ones I have now are I will be getting some of these on pay day tho, as they have a little bit more capaciaty, come with a drip tip, and light up www.stealthvape.co.uk/cartomizers-category/x7-micromizer-micromizers

You are doing so well Cornflakes It still never ceases to amaze me that I don't want to light up when someone close to me is smoking. Above all, that proves how e-cigs work where other smoking alternatives fail

No worries, i've asked enough questions on this forum, happy to be able to answer the few that I can and help others. I thought the first cig of the day, and the one after a meal would be the hardest, but to be honest i've not really been bothered at all by missing out on them, I enjoy my coffee first thing each day after my shower with a nice coffee flavour juice instead, and its actually a lot nicer to start my day feeling all clean and fresh instead of enveloped in clouds of smoke. There are so many benefits to not smoking, not least the money, and you will soon see them for yourself. But don't be too hard on yourself either, everyone moves at a different pace, and it can take a while to really get into vaping and find what set-up works for you personally, so just take each day as it comes, and good luck with your journey.

I'm not going to beat myself up if I do have a few. I fully expect to willing try at least one at some point to see what it tastes like By this point with champix, NRT's and cold turkey I am usually climbing the walls with the cravings. I would also feel extremely sad, as though I had lost a friend. I know that sounds stupid but I would go into some kind of mourning for the blasted things. I would also eat like a horse and want to snack constantly but today I have had none of this oh and my husband said I can't forget the mood swings that would come within half an hour of attempting to quit in the past So by the time I retire this evening I will probably have not smoked 30 cigs (I am 20 a day through the week 30-40 on a weekend) which is a bonus regardless of what tomorrow brings.

The 1st ciggie of the day was the one I was most worried about when I swapped to vaping, and for a while I only vaped tobacco flavours for the 1st couple of the day. I now hardly touch the tobacco flavours, and have to say, although it is still a bit of a struggle at times, I'm glad to be off the fags, and enjoying trying the seamlessly never ending range of flavours. As has been said, take each day as it comes, and it will all work out for you, and remember we are all here if you need us

I do think the 20mgs of nicotine is too high for me though, next time I will try maybe 18 and work my way down. What sort of real cigs were you on? My daily intake (real tobacco) was up to 15-20mg and using 18mg liquid on anything other than a powerful device left me climbing the walls. I reckon go too low and you might struggle. Unless you were on lights of course....

I 2nd that, I used to smoke 15-20 rollups per day, and started out on skycigs using 12mg, it wasn't enough, when I got my riva kit it had a bottle of 18mg, which hit the spot quite nicely, I'm now vaping juices between 18-24mg, which is working quite nicely.
My mother in law smoked 20+ lights a day, and is getting on fine with 6-12mg cartos on her skycig

You mention about the coughinh with the high Nic' Cornflake. I still cough a fair bit if I've let myself smoke for a few days. It does take a while to lose the cough for some people. Main thing is to just do what you feel okay doing.
