Hello all as the title says I am determined to go from a smoker to a fully fledged vaper! I have quit before for 17 weeks but caved in when the craving got too much. Sad as it sounds I felt the whole time as though I had lost a friend.
For about 6 months I have lurked on and off on this forum and read hello thread after hello thread with all kinds of advice but I am still not sure what will be right for me.
I currently smoke 20 to 25 a day. I bought one of these elite cigs at the weekend but that isn't for me, if I take enough vapour out to satisfy my needs, the throat hit makes me gag, cough and splutter.
So over to you guys because I would rather start off with something that is going to be suitable for me even if I have to pay a little bit more to get it.

Hello & welcome Cornflakes There are so many better & cheaper e-cigs than e-lites. However, before we start giving you links to them, lets help you get the best out of your e-lite For starters, try inhaling & then holding the vapour in your mouth for a couple of seconds before taking it back or blowing it out. This should help stop you coughing when you inhale. Secondly, you can re-fill the cartomisers (tips) you got with your e-lite several times before they wimp out.

hi and welcome cornflakes ...i smoked same amount as you for over 30 years and have managed a full week now without a single smokei will leave the advice to better suited more long term vapers that will be along shortly all i can tell you is no one really reccomends the elite type devices and after doing my home work i decided to go straight for a ego 650 spare battery and a min nova tank..never looked back simplicity in itself really ...get your self a starter kit and give it a try most you got to lose is 3/4 days worth of dirty stinkies money

As for better e-cigs, the good ones don't look like a real cig. Does that bother you?

Hello & welcome Cornflakes I was also a 25 a day smokers and had a few attempts in the past to give up but always failed. However since I switched to vaping so far I have not looked back. It such a simular action (not taste though) that I did find the transition quite easy. I would advise you bought a descent kit, one which the batteries last longer than an hour and also get a few sample bottles of various juices and think positive. Although you may have to outlay a few quid to start with it won't be long before you recoup it from the saving of not having to buy Fags.
Good Luck

It doesn't have to look like a real cig, sorry I should have said that. I won't be trying the elite again because I have tried all sorts with it and got annoyed lol. I'm not sure the elite even works properly because to get any kind of vapour or hit I have to hold my finger over this little hole and drag then move my finger as I continue to drag. I just want something I can put to my mouth and drag i that makes sense.

all the starter kits mention ie ego`s riva`s will do exactly that ..all you need is to decide on size of battery bigger ovs longer they last between charges (and you will need spare) what to put your juice in clearos/novas/carto`s ..the easiest to refill in my opinion being the novas ..then some juices that are to your liking after a long time smoking i though better to go with the tabacco flavour as be easier that way..what did i know after 2 days i cant stand tabbaco no more and been vaping choc chip mint ice cream all week since my advice is have a good nosey around the board read some threads see some pictures visit some of the many links see what you like etcetc ..after a couple of hours all will become much much more clearer for you best of luck to you if i can do it anyone can

Cornflakes, this is an excellent kit from a very good vendor, use discount code allabout for 10% off - www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-ve-riva-1100-deluxe-kit~151You will also need to buy some e-liquid for the above. Tried to find cheaper deals for you, but so many of the other good vendors are out of stock at the moment.

Hi cornflakes #welcome2# many of us went from being a smoker to a full time vaper in small steps. when you start vaping you don't have to stop smoking right away. start just replacing a couple of ciggies a day with vaping and take it from there. it can take a wee bit time to get the right kit that suits you, so don't put yourself under any pressure to give up the ciggies completely until you are confident vaping and enjoying the set up you have This is a decent kit to start with www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-ve-riva-1100-deluxe-kit~151code 'allabout' for 10% off Macca, another member here posted this link tonight and recommended the kit www.exhalecigarette.co.uk/product-p/ece5sk.htmas Chrissie says you can re-fill the cartos you have, and even thought the second kit I linked to includes liquid you will still need some more. it's difficult to recommend liquid though as taste is subjective, start by buying small sample bottles until you find something you really like. check out these vendors here allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=suppliers&thread=2&page=1#2

Am I right in thinking I can add different bits and piece to this battery if I find the stuff in the kit doesn't work for me?
