Now that you mention it - the threads are about 1mm apart so to get about a half turn more only about 0.5mm needs to be ground off. Hands starting to tremble a bit less.
Mesh has just arrived but tinkering time will have to happen later on!
Ordered an A4 sheet of 500 from themeshcompany and got another A4 and a half of 325 with it - can't wait to play!

It may not even be that much, do a bit, check it, do more if needed, don't be tempted to do it all in one go!

I may be wrong here but having a grounding in engineering the top cap does 't have to be watertight just enough to bite onto the o ring.I made my wick and coil then looking at the wick through the glass tank I lined up the air hole with just a touch of bite on the o ring.I could have tightened it up another 180 degrees but there is no need or am I missing something.I am so happy with the AGA-T if anyone is disapointed with theirs I will buy it off you for what it cost you

Put your finger over the air hole and take a draw, no need to fire up BTW, no air should come in, if it does you need to tighten the top cap down.

There is no air coming in I think this is why they used thick o rings instead of the thin black ones

Well, as I said, I ordered 2 metre of each of .2 .18 and .16 Kanthal wire. I wanted a mix as I'd struggled to get any resistance with the wire that came with the Aga, even with 5 coils... It arrived today, I was very tempted to reach straight for the .16, so as to get a higher resistance, but kept thinking how macca said .20 is best. So I went for the 20. I cut a new mesh, no ideas of size, but I made it thicker than the last mesh, after advice earlier in this thread, this time I decided not to put it under the flame until rolled aswell. I then did what macca did on his video, dripped onto one end, and lit it to make sure the capillary action was working, it didn't go quite to the end until the third attempt, but then on the 4th I could visibly see the wick darkening as it quickly sucked it to the other end. Brilliant. With Blakeys words of strangled wicks ringing in my ears, I tried to do it much looser this time, went for 7 wraps, wanting a higher resistance. Fired it up after a drip of juice, no hot spots, and fair vapour, fired it a few more times without dripping to make sure it was sucking right, all fine. At this point I remembered to check the resistance 3.1 So i turned up the voltage and got masses of vapour At this point I'm a happy bunny, taste is delicious, lots and lots of vapour, brilliant. Then I decided to take a coil off, did this, quite easily, as the coils weren't wrapped so tight this time, and the Ohms came out at 2.4 or 2.5... Turned down the voltage a little, same result, perfect flavour, perfect vapour and a very happy bunny. Blakey, Macca, and everyone else that's helped with ideas in this thread, I could kiss you right now, I really could.... Thanks

Wow, the flavour, the flavour, how can the wick material make so much difference... # # I'm in heaven right now (although I am poorly right now but that isn't taking anything away from the flavour, that beautiful flavour)

I've got some .16 and wasn't using it. I tried twisting it and it makes nice coils, think I read somewhere about the twists trapping more liquid??

Twsting a thinnner high res will give you a thicker coil, so more surface area and much more vapour..
Essentially if you twist 2 x 0.16 and use it you will get more or less the same experience of 0.32mm wire. But resistance of the coil will be very low and it will go through juice like nobody's business..

It took a few turns!!!. Was playing to see what would happen, certainly went through juice and battery like s**t through a goose.

I only had a little of the .16. Looking again at the one I had the best results twisting was .098 from LF, too thin for decent coils, but that twisted came to about .196, a good substitute for .20.
