Where's everyone getting Nic base from?

The maximum you can legally buy is 75 mg/ml.

The 100mg stuff is not 100% it is only 10% but as Perpetua &Maccafan have said we can only buy up to 75mg (7.5%) here in the UK

Thanks for clearing that up Perps, I knew 100% pure was illegal over here, just suprised that he has it on his website.

I looked into this some time back when someone was bragging on UKV about having purchased 100% pure nic and remember doing a bit of research into the dangers of it then. The stuff is deadly, I wouldn't want it near my home!

I think I am right in saying that the 100mg stuff is 10% pure nicotine, not 100% pure, so 18mg would be 1.8% pure nic and 75mg would be 7.5% pure nic.

Having worked in a lab where I had to wear a full hazard suit, breathing apparatus and where we had an emergency biohazard shower in case, I certainly would not consider doing so again just because of a hobby!
In fact I would'nt do it again even if I was paid.

100% is 1000mg/ml..It's illegal everywhere without a poisons licence and just a sniff could make you very very ill.

100 mg/ml is 10% and is allowed in the US.

The maximum currently allowed in UK is 7.5%.

Not sure what the big hoohaa is all about ffs why would you want to buy 1000mg/ml 75mg/ml is adequate for anyones needs and will last for much longer than we will in quantity

ie 1 litre of 75mg mixed down to appropriate levels would last any hardened vaper at least 3 or 4 years

I think Robby's point is that he has all the equipment and knowledge to use pure nicotine to make his own e-juice cheaper than he can buy it in the same strength as everybody else does.

I do not condone this action nor do I think it should be advertised on a forum that should be sticking within the law, but that is one for the moderators to deal with.

I would consider myself to be quite highly intelligent in my field of work but I wouldn't want to pretend to be a chemist just because I "think" I'm intelligent

Well fwiw I am a (trained) chemist, have worked in a variety of labs over 30 years and pretty certain no one could pay me enough to even think about handling 100% nicotine! The 7.5% limit is there for a reason.

Flavourings and VG are used in other applications, so should remain available no matter what happens.
