Hey Toejam !! I'm pretty new here too, and had all the same questions/worries you have. The SkyCigs for me were weak and seemed pointless, the Riva1100 blows them away, no comparison. I see you ordered 2 tobacco and a choc caramel , same as I did (Golden and USA Mix for me). I went off the tobacco flavours in a couple of days, and now only vape the Choc Caramel and Forest Fruits from vapology.
The bonus for a novice vaper of a clearomiser over cartoniser is that you can see how much liquid is left, and also monitor your useage....you DO NOT want to run out of juice else you'll be reaching for the stinkies !!

Hi thanks for all the comments!
after setting up the mini vision this morning ive been vaping all day,
i first tried "winson" liquid from vape escape in the clearomiser, nice hit but horrible taste!
then i tried "silky" in a cartomiser, nicer taste think ill stick with this
I also tried the caramel, cant taste caramel at all to be honest.
Ive come across the term steeping, should I be letting the bottles sit for a week before using them or something??
Any recommendations on liquids guys? ive already bought lemon meringue pie from alchemists cupboard and also coconut ice! cant wait to try something differe,t
seem to be getting dry mouth toungue today? is that a side effect of vaping generally or is it this particular liquid?

I am so cross with myself for missing this thread. Did you buy? I have a Vision Crystal kit. I also have a Riva kit. Just ask away, I'm here most days.... Hi djs, the vision crystal bats sky cigs out of the park! how do you find it comparable to the riva? after showing my mother in law my vision, she now wants one, but im considering getting her the riva instead if its better?

The only liquids generally that need steeping are newly mixed ones. Chinese liquids are generally well mixed and steeped by the time you get to vape them.
Dry mouth is a side effect of not being used to PG, drink more water whilst vaping but generally it passes after a while (Well I got more used to it after a few weeks.)

haha thanks roscope, any one got a recommendation for grizwalds gourmet range? Hi and welcome.. If you like sweet stuff then Griswalds Banoffee Cream is awesome. Their Cocomel is highly rated on here too. And if you like really sweet stuff.. the ultimate vape is Grants Vanilla Custard. Its not on Vape Escape. But it is mentioned on vaping sites world wide.

haha thanks roscope, any one got a recommendation for grizwalds gourmet range? Hi Toejam, It's tricky to give advice, but as you picked out Cocunut Ice on another post, the Cocomel is pretty nice. I found it a bit too sweet when I first started, but as my taste has come back I can vape it pretty much all evening (I stick to menthols and baccy flavours mostly during the day). I got some Bounty from Health-E-Vape the other day and that is very similar to Cocomel. One thing I discovered by mistake the other night whilst not paying full attention to what I was doing, was putting a few drips of peppermint into a Coconut cartomiser actually tastes very nice Hope that helps.

Ok, im starting to edge back toward the riva then, before I go ahead, can some one tell me ... Each starter kit comprises: 2 x Matt Black RIVA 510 atomisers 2 x Matt Black RIVA 510 650mAh manual batteries with blue LEDs 1 x Matt Black RIVA 510 Atomiser cone 1 x USB fast charger 1 x USB-to-AC mains adapter (UK or EU depending on your location) 10 x blank (empty) cartridges What are atomisers, I thought these were batteries, and what do the cones do? Im so sorry for all the questions guys, your probably fed up already! Hi toejam amd welcome i myself am a new starter just like you. Having purchased my riva 1100 deluxe kit the other day, it was a bit daunting not to say the least. But the peeps on here are brill and have helped me out loads they are a valuable source of information. go with the riva kit One thought though, the bigger the battery the longer it will lsat before it needs charging the ones in my riva 1100 kit is 1100 mah so it lasts a long time. good luck in your quest mate Cheers Dusty Smoke me a kipper skipper,i'll be back for breakfast

Hi djs, the vision crystal bats sky cigs out of the park! how do you find it comparable to the riva? after showing my mother in law my vision, she now wants one, but im considering getting her the riva instead if its better? Crystal and Riva are no different in the way they produce the vapour. However, battery-wise, 1 Riva = 3 Crystals. I love 'em both. I'll be keen to hear what sort of run-time you get of it. If you should end up regretting not getting the Riva (not that I'm saying you will) then the Crystal could join a "team" of batteries, which is what most of us seem to use. Never a wasted buy, in fact I bought the Crystal kit as much for the charger and clearomiser as the battery. I just needed a small battery for one evening a week and to pop in the case alongside a Riva (or Spinner) on a day out. Better safe than sorry. It's a cracking little device....I love it.
