Hi all, this might be a daft question but please humour me?
I started vaping 4 months ago and noticed after about a week that I was feeling tired/shattered/pooped all the time even after a good nights sleep. The weight started creeping on too, and although I'm prone to a bit of weight gain in Winter (less salads ha ha), never have I gained a stone in 4 months and I've been watching what I eat for about a month now!!
So, I went to see my Doctor who tested me for the usual suspects - underactive thyroid, diabetes and anemia but they've come back clear, but it's starting to get me down so I've done some internet searching....and think it's all linked to dehydration?? I'm not overly thirsty but apparently it can cause both tiredness and weight gain??
Has anyone else experienced any of these as I've read vaping can cause dehydration...any input appreciated.
Cheers ???

Vaping does dehydrate somewhat, always recommended to up your daily intake, treat yourself to the odd bottle of lucozade occasionally as we'll as extra water, that will also increase energy and keep hunger away longer.
It all goes hand in hand.

I drink gallons during the day Linz, far more than I ever did smoking . . . 3 years almost on, I've not put on any weight. Infact I've lost a little as all the dessert type flavours curb my sweet tooth.
The only downside for me, is what goes in . . . must also come out!

Since vaping I drink four pints of water before I'm even dressed in the morning....does take a while for me to bother getting dressed mind.
Have you considered that it might also be an allergy? Tried taking antihistamines for a few days?

I get a dry mouth if I've had a particularly heavy vaping day. But not any more tired than normal. I fart a lot with VG heavy juice! Chris.

Romlee nailed it. If you are dehydrated a lot of body systems go haywire and start to cause problems. Drink plenty of water and keep hydrated because vaping can dehydrate you.
As a side note, I get really sleepy and lethargic (more so than usual) when I vape 24mg at work, I'm fine on 18mg. Strange but maybe try a lower nic level and see if that helps with tiredness... still drink more anyway.
Gross fact, apparently most people are in mild dehydration all the time, you can tell because your poo when hydrated is supposed to be closer to toothpaste consistency than what most people have.

The thing about the body is that it is always looking for homeostasis - always trying to balance itself. I would certainly make sure you are taking enough water on board as others have said. If you are not taking on enough water then the body will hoard it - this would account for weight gain and tiredness. Good luck

I have always drunk gallons of tea, in the region of 12 mugs a day, that hasn`t really altered, but I do know that I have more energy, wake up refreshed, which I havent done for years and dont get even slightly out of breath anymore, it has transformed my health for the better Hope you find your answer soon Linz

If you already take them vitamins i would not over do it with the others, too many vitamins can do more harm than good.
