I saw it, I then went through the endless complaint process to write this....

The item shown about e-cigarettes on tonights show was utterly ridiculous and one-sided. I and a great many other people who otherwise would have no chance of giving up our addiction to normal cigarettes have been made much healthier by these inventions.
Nobody from the considerable vaping community was represented, and the only person connected to vaping was a salesman, selling the expensive lookalike e-cigs. And he was made out to be some kind of drug dealer for not asking if his customers were already smokers. The man in the tobacconists doesn't ask this, so why should the e-cig seller?
Your reporter who had given up the hard way 28 years ago was probably not the best man for the job, as plenty of ex-smokers who have done it the hard way are resentful that there is this safer alternative.
None of us are pretending that it is completely safe, but it is clearly not as bad for you as actual smoking, and has no passive effects at all.
Please can we have another item with a more positive spin on this life-saving development?

I'm dissapointed in the negative report on electric cigarettes you showed during tonight's One Show. You failed to concentrate on the health benefits of using electric cigarettes and instead focused on the fact that some people might mistake their use as smoking. This negative reporting is irresponsible because it could put off existing smokers from trying them and in doing so is detrimental to their health. I also doubt the smoker in the story who enjoyed trying them is going to double her nicotine intake. It is more likely that she will use them to completely stop smoking. You should have also admitted on air that BBC staff are allowed to use them at their desks! I and many 'vapers' choose respectfully not to use them in eating areas because the harmless water vapour exhaled might drift towards someone eating, but I have been stopped by many members of the public in the street who want to know where I bought my device because they want to stop smoking. Surely that would have been a better story, especially on National Non Smoking Day.

Dear oh dear, do you never learn at the BBC. More sloppy reporting but this time about a subject you don't appear to understand at all. E-cigarettes are undoubtedly the best thing since sliced bread to smokers and you have done the vapers of this world (ex-smokers) a terrible disservice this evening with your misinformed broadcast. Do yourselves a favour and set the record straight with a favourable piece re e-cigs, because the facts are that more and more smokers are turning to e-cigs every day and prolonging their lives in the process.

Why would he try nic again after 28 years, what a c##k. You would not expect an ex alcoholic to have a swig of alcohol for a TV show, very poor!!!!
