Thanks Fagsareus.
Tonight he just wants to lie in his bed. I wish I could join him. It's been a helluva day!

lobeydosser... last night I was 'puppy sitting' for my eldest son, and got so attached to 'Woody' in just a few hours. I can therefore imagine your feelings for 'Mull'. I so hope you get good news.

How is Mull now? Improving I hope. MMa Hi Mma, He is okay in the mornings and early afternoons but flags a bit come the evenings and spends most of his time in bed. I suppose this would not be so noticeable if his bounding, bouncing mate wasn't leaping about like a demented Zebedee all day. On the up side, we have now got the appointment with the specialist in Stirling for the middle of next month and so we know that we just have to keep him calm until then when we should find out just what is wrong and if it can be treated. Apart from when the Vet was checking him over and he was yelping a bit, he doesn't appear to have any pain. But by bedtime when we all go upstairs, I have to lift his bum up each stair as by then he has no strength in his back legs. I also have to carry him out to the garden for his "bedtime piddletime" All things considered, he is doing okay and although worrying, all we can do now is make sure he doesn't cause himself any further damage until we see the specialist.

Yes Mma, will do.
I do not suppose there will be anything to report until after we see the specialist on the 11th of July. Just a matter of hanging in there until then.

We went and bought Mull a new mobile kennel tonight. A Caravan!!!! It has 4 berths so both Mull & Coll can have their own berth each. But somehow I think that "daddy" will somehow end up with them in beside me, as usual.

Okay, latest news.
We have spent the morning at the Animal Hospital at Stirling where Mull had more x-rays and fluid removed from the joints on all 4 legs.
This fluid will be sent to a laboratory for a more thorough examination but the specialist reckons that that although there is excessive fluid in all his joints it is just an inflammation which, if true, can be treated with Steroids.
However, it could be more serious and so the lab tests are needed before any treatment starts.
So while Mull's joints were only partly emptied, all of Lobey's Wallet was completely emptied!!!!!
I'll tell you boyos, there is not such a thing as a poor Vet!!!!

Kudos to you Lobey for doing everything you can for Mull's sake.
I hope he begins to feel better soon.
Fingers well and truly crossed for him here.

He was in that hospital for two and a half hours and according to the bill, they charged us £200 an hour.
I remember that not so long ago I didn't earn that in a week, with overtime!!!
Thank gawd vaping is a lot cheaper than smoking or I'd be sitting on Sauchiehall Street with a Penny Whistle and a flat Cap!

This poor wee lame dug that I wouldn't have paid tuppence for his life a month ago and had to be carried up and down stairs, this afternoon was chasing his playmate Coll round the lounge like Red Rum, jumping over dog beds and toys and barking his silly head off. And that just two days after getting out of hospital where the specialist was telling us that he had suspected rheumatoid arthritis!
