Hi everyone , thought I would start a new thread as the other has got quite long. It all started last night , I needed to wash my cleromiser out. I watched the videos, and set about it , no problems, wash and shake vigorously- but the wicks were still dark coloured. I then rewatched the vid where they take the innards out to wash it. Off I go back to the kitchen sink full of water. I removed the innards and the vigorous shaking must have dislodged everything. The white plastic bit flew off, and landed in the water along with the wicks. I now have a soggy mess. I watched the video again, dried everything off the best I could, put it all back together hoping it was right and left it for the night. This morning I found myself postie stalking, kept checking the postbox- nothing, then saw his bike outside so pounced on the postbox. Yipee my new juice was here. I carefully filled up with a new juice, and from 11am until 8.pm I happily used it. I did think about having a real one, but didn't. So 8.30pm and I'm on my way home, I went to use it, and there was a loud pop, it made me jump. It was then gurgling quite loud. So I went to unscrew the battery only I didn't I undid the clearomiser instead. Yep I got covered in juice, and now I was empty, so after mopping it up the best I could I had a ciggie. Once home I wiped it down and filled up again, and it seems ok. So my first full day and no I haven't quit but I have only had 3 real ones since I got it up and running. I don't know if it is all working correctly, or if it will gurgle and pop but I'm trying

Don't worry about a few ciggies Sammy in the early days of Vaping, or even beyond that! Count the ones you don't smoke not the ones you do! It gets easier once you get a bit more used to your equipment and find the right set up and juice for you

The gurgling I fond is usually due to some liquid being were it shouldn't so a quick dry of the connections and a blow on to a piece of paper usually sorts that ok. Did you work out what the pop was? As for the ciggys well I kept telling my self I was just not going to smoke, in the car, near the kids, were the kids could see etc rather than I was quiting. But don't kick your self about the odd stinky. Your doing. well for every one you avoid. Go you!

If clearos get water or e liquid down the centre tube they'll gurgle a bit, best to blow through it 3 or 4 times from the mouth piece end and catch it at the base with a tissue, then dab the base dry, that will clear it and it should be fine. Just check and give your battery contacts a wipe over too, if liquid has gone down the centre tube it will have dribbled through onto your batt contact as well, it all adds to the gurgling, lol. And hey, 3 cigs all day??? that's not bad, how many would you have smoked??? and tomorrows another day. My workmate kept unscrewing his iclear clearos for days , lol, best thing to do is grip the base (the knurled bit) of the clearo and unscrew the battery, not the other way round. Give yourself a pat on the back, you're doing great!!!

We've all done that with the unscrewing and got a lap full of juice. Should warn people really.
I still sometimes forget to blow the water out of a clearo after washing it.
A bit of snap, crackle and pop is fairly normal with vaping, though it varies with the juice and the clearo. One or two people here actually like it ???
Down to 3 analogues is a good start.

I have no idea what the pop was but it made me jump. Regarding the gurgle ---- Do they all make a noise or are they silent? Mine has gurgled since the first time I turned it on, then I drowned it, and it gurgled more even though I left it all night to dry out and did a dry burn. Right now it is making a noise like a kettle on a gas stove just before it boils and whistles, like a spitting, hissing noise. I have tried blowing through it and nothing comes out. I usually smoke between 18 and 20 a day, and today in total, I have smoked 5. 2 of those before my juice got here. That may go up 1 as the one before bed is an important one. So that is ok I think. I never told myself I was going to get this and quit. I truthfully never wanted to quit so I know it will be hard. The first step they say is wanting to. Now I want to but only but because I need to not because I don't enjoy it. The doc told me to quit, I said I will try to cut down , I was given a lecture. If I can cut down it is a very big step for me, as I am one of those who enjoys the taste. I didn't realise I did until I put a lot of thought into why I was smoking. There are the common things, first thing to start the day, last thing at night so I can sleep, when I'm stressed , upset etc. Then I got to thinking- at other times why do I have a ciggie, and the truth is to get the taste, I believe it is this more than the nicotine. After eating the most delicious meal when I had my nicotine fix right before it why on earth would I have another ciggie? It has to be to get the taste back. Before I got my e-cig, I got some chewing gum, what did I do? had a lovely minty taste in my mouth, took the gum out and smoked a ciggie to get the taste back. I will take each day as it comes, and if I have a bad day, I am sure you guys will help me over it, and get me back on track. I know people who have finished a packet of ciggies, and just never bought anymore just like that quit. I also know someone who did it one at a time. Each week cut down by one, that way it didn't become an issue, sounds odd but it worked. What I do know is that I went 9 hours without a proper ciggie, and believe me 3 hours is usually my limit, by then I'm pacing the room and getting tetchy so I can do this.

I think what you have to do is just go with the flow. If you want a cig, have a cig. Vaping has helped loads of people pack in the fags, when i started vaping over 5 years ago, i thought it would be a "5 minute wonder" i'd give it a go, but thought that it would end up in the bin within a week. I was so wrong, i haven't touched a cig since then, but it was the cost of cigs that drew me to vaping, nothing else. I think, if you find the right kit, right juice and nic strength, that helps so much, then maybe you'll find you get enough nic from vaping that you won't need cigs as much? But, please, don't put any pressure on yourself not to have a cig, because we all know if we are denied something we want it all the more. Take it a day at a time, no pressure, no stress, just chill out and vape or have a cig. Clearos popping, yep, some of em do that now and again, nothing to worry about, also the hissing?? some do, some don't, i've an iclear 16 on the go now that sounds like yours, if you've blown it through and it's clear then you've got a hissy one, they're all different, as long as they're doing what they are supposed to do that's the main thing. Good luck, you're doing really good, so just enjoy

You are doing great, you mustn't beat yourself up. Quitting smoking is a psychological thing as much as (or even more than) a physical one. I was desperate to stop, and within 24 hours of trying my first e-cig I chucked all smoking paraphernalia with JOY I still feel great every time I go in a shop and don't have to bankrupt myself on horrible stinky tobacco. And I can put my hand on my heart and say that even if all my vaping stuff disappeared tomorrow, I wouldn't go back to smoking. But this will be different for everyone. You've cut down loads and that is brilliant. As for the noises, I am still a novice at all this, and it is a learning curve. I've had two clearos that made a satisfying hiss / percolator noise, and now one that is very quiet. I thought it was faulty at first but I am getting plenty of taste and vapour and the level of juice is going down, so I guess it's fine! I washed one out and it didn't work after ??? but maybe it just hadn't dried out properly? I'll try it again, it's been sitting disassembled for a few days.

Snap, Crackle and Pop is not the sound of a cereal. It's the sound of a happy coil evaporating it's juice

You are doing so well Sammy.
If you still find you are having a few ciggies every day in a week or so up the nic level abit.
Took me 3 weeks to find the right level, every cig you don't have is a bonus. You can always reduce the nic level slowly over a period of time. Think possitive not negatively.
I like it when I hear a crackle and pop as I know its working. Getting covered in juice from time to time is still alot better than smelling of cig smoke, just wash it off and carry on.

Clearos are a law unto themselves The first clearos i bought were Vision ce4 (disposable) and i could get a month out of them, now i'm on Innokin iclear 16 (and got plenty of replaceable heads) and this one with the original head has lasted over 3 months and still going strong , and it gets a lot of hammer :DI've had clones that have died in a week.
