Why ? I was using it to make point that Goverments care more about money than people
I read an article where one Italian (I think it was Italian but not sure) MEP actualy asked how the EU was going to recuperate the lost revenue that e-cigs was causing. Do you really think the government wants Joe Public to give up smoking and lose 12 billion a year ? I don't think so. There is censorship at every level , someone is always deciding what is good for us, what we should read/watch so why should this be any different

I think that Womble and the ECCA have their work cut out for them. Listening to a radio phone-in today here in Ireland, I get the feeling that the regulations will favour the cigalike companies to the detriment of us vapers. I didn't hear all the programme, but most of the people phoning in were vapers with positive stories about quitting the stinkies. The programme host had never heard the term "vaping". The most consistent complaints from the ban/regulate brigade were the lack of testing of the contents and the likely appeal to children of sweet flavoured and brightly coloured ecigs. Here in Ireland, the chemists decided not to sell ecigs, so the cigalikes are sold in shops where they are displayed close to the cash register alongside sweets. Some shops seem to be getting as much as a 50% mark-up. The cigalike companies appear to be stressing that they only sell flavours that wouldn't appeal to children and I heard mention that their ingredients are more reliable because they are made in the UK. I'm really worried that the regulations will prohibit the sale of bottles of liquid and we'll have to buy packs of pre-filled cartridges that claim to be the equivalent of 20 smokes per cartridge.
Womble: I wish you luck trying to get the message out in the face of all the vested interests and public fear and suspicion about ecigs.

Addict, "The programme host had never heard the term vaping." this is exactly what I mean. Thanks Addict.

Good for you, arsehole. You learned shit. Very sorry Mods lynxkat Post previously was not to say how great I was etc, It was to point out that I wasn't some pasty, spotty little teenager who had not experienced life. As for other comments after , well for the record I am currently Unemployed (first time since leaving school )and to quote my GP unemployable as I have re-occurring severe contact allergic dermatitis and before you say it I am not a burden on the state. I do not get a penny, no unemployment or sickness benefits but i'm nearly always a glass half full type of person Oh the irony Yet here you are reading a forum telling us you gonna research etc but tell me to stop reading . Last word on subject I have been insulted by professionals so your insults don't bother me Have a Nice Day Lynxkat from now on i will use my democratic right to ignore you Note to Mods please leave thread as is let people see Was my last post in reply so no problems about it esculating to slagging match

Can we not just put all this aside and join together to fight the injustice instead of dividing and fighting each other? I'm not on anyone's side, just wanting to find a way for us to unite and move forward... Please?

I'm not on anyone's side, just wanting to find a way for us to unite and move forward... Please? There will always be disagreements on forums, it's the nature of the beast. Folks not able to see each other and late at night etc, probably wouldn't happen in a pub. AAEC I am convinced is the best ecig forum out there, but even we sometimes don't see eye to eye with each other. The brilliant mods sort out what needs to be sorted, but most people calm down next morning. Anyway. Onwards and upwards. We have other people to fight apart from ourselves

OK - so having watched VT Talk from Wednesday night, your first march (well, gathering, but if you want to march around The Lees I'm sure it would be OK), will be on 29 June in South Shields. Dave Dorn (VTTV) wants 2000+ people to turn up, along with press, MEPs, etc Watch the video at 28 mins and at 46:30 mins. NEES meet thread
