My experience also. Less than ideal but free from the tar sticks. I quit cold for 10 days before vaping, which quickly dulled my taste buds. A small price to pay for staying sociable and toxin free though.  Ordered a mini did clone (arrived y'day) hoping my clearomizers were the cause. Alas, after getting it working properly it tastes rank to me, metallic and harsh. Ordered some silica wick & wire to experiment with, till then its back to the CE8 and neutral contentment.

I've been off the smokes for six months now apart from a few occasions when I gave into tempatation.
This was usually the reason I did, that everything tasted like s***e no matter what I tried. I tried different juices, different voltages, different devices etc but some days nothing worked at all.
There were, in fact days when it caused me a severe amount of anxiety.
Then the next day or two, everything would be fine again, with the same juice, same set up etc. I can only guess that it is to do with the sense of taste and not the vaping process itself.
Mint does indeed seem to work great for cleansing the palate and a good mouthwash or tongue scrub as has been suggested here.
I did give in a few times in frustration and had a good old reliable smoke of my favourite tobacco, knowing that it had never let me down this way.
I questioned how I could ever have thought of leaving it when it had always been so good to me, always there when I really needed it.
How could I have ley this new-found habit take the place of tobacco, my childhood sweetheart??

So I smoked, and every time I did, it tasted like s***e too! Haha!

I don't think it should be thought of as any kind of "failure" if you have a smoke, although I don't want to encourage it. Hopefully you'll realise just how crap it tastesnow that your taste is changing to a more natural state.

Try the menthol for a while and then go back to a favourite juice. Best of luck and don't let the terrorists win!

Egg custard tart came closest to hitting the spot. I just felt like I really needed something sweet, and it was all tasting the same. Will go get back up stocks of cinnamon. Lemon ice helps too. Bit scared to add menthol crystals to liquid, it's strong stuff!

If you mix half a 10ml bottle of crushed crystals with 5 ml of PG (warming it helps the mixing) you will get a killer menthol.

About 4 drops will mentholise a 10ml bottle of nasty juice.

I use 2 drops in 10ml to get a vapeable menthol flavour.

(Don't get the killer menthol on your lips neat, it makes them go numb!)

*ha ha*That's what happens to me raid, couple of puffs and its ok, then back to no flavour. Unfortunately I can still taste food and drink hence the reason of the shape of this body . Either that or the onset of late middle age spread, that started when I was 20 and is getting progressively worse. .

Yes sammy13 i got one of those 10ml x 18mg strength tasters from joosejuice it only cost £1-49 & it is pretty strong so it does the job

We are both suffering from vapours tongue, all of the juice that we've got on the go is tasting like crap.

Well I'd say more tasteless than actually so rank I can't stand the taste.

Here' a little tip, if you haven't got any menthol juice (like me!), suck on a mint whilst you vape! It's the only thing that I've found brings out the flavour in the juice for me at the moment!!

It's not ideal but at least it's keeping me on the vape and not going back to stinkies.

I mixed eucalyptus and menthol at 10% each, certainly clears the palate and nose! Enhances the other flavours used afterwards as well.

Its something we all get unfortunately. I bet everyone on stinkies have days where they taste horrible as well and can't stand them, probably more so than with vaping.

As others have said menthol normally does the trick, as will changing flavours on a regular basis. I normally have 5 on the go during an average day, sometimes I will only vape 2 flavours other days all 5. Don't know how some people can stick to just one flavour all day everyday.
