Unexplained things in photos.

I get you do it for a living, but I cant see how with a stock photo app on an iphone or any other phone for that matter being able to carry that unidentified object over to a fresh photo without any interference from a 3rd party?, It cant be a glitch as its to defined for that.

It looks like a PS job to me.

Cheers jakethevape, I'm retired from all that now anyway, was losing my touch.

It was definitely in the original photo and not any kind of aberration.

I processed it several different ways and there was no sign of editing after the fact.

It would be possible to do in PS or other software but in this case it wasn't.

I have worked on several images that have a secondary spurious image superimposed due to reflection and that was my initial thought.

Here is an RBG false profile which clearly shows a sleeve with elasticated cuff, a thumb and tip of finger behind entering from right of frame:

Right. I've still no idea how it got there. I give my word there was nobody that side of my mum or leaning across.

Well. Technically we know what is is but not how it got there. There's no way anyone could have been leaning in that way for a hand to be in that position.

Very nicely tidied up raid2506 and @jerri, I'm glad the mystery was solved it certainly flummoxed me as well, and its fab you've now got the photo you can treasure

I've gone over this another few times and compared with animated models.

It's a left hand, palm up. The cuff is around the 1st joint of the thumb.

Shadow on top of thumb is palm of hand, thickness of thumb is back of hand and 1st knuckle of index finger.

It's baffling. Had it been coming from the other way I'd have said I must have just missed someone leaning since the kids etc were there. But my mum was sat by the wall. And was stood by the wall when the photo was taken. So nobody was that side of her or me to be able to lean across.

Also. It's the bloody strangers finger I've ever seen lol.
