Hello All,
You know every now and then, your atomiser develops a harsh horrible metallic taste, crud build up i think its referred to...
what are your methods in correcting this?

The only thing I do is give it a blast for a few seconds with a manual button then reprime it with a couple of drops of liquid.
Some people say soaking it in Coca-cola works - others says nothing really works.

I've revived a couple of dying atties by holding them with kitchen tongs, pouring boiling water into them, blowing them through, repeating and leaving overnight on a radiator to dry. Worked well for mine. The only 'metallic' taste I've had is from the factory primer when new that disappeared within a couple of hours' use. Fox

Perhaps I've explained it wrong.
It's probably not metallic, more a burnt taste.
It'll be burnt up crud inside the wick of the atomiser i think, but you can't get your tweezers inside of the bridge to get it out.
I'm reluctant to clean it as its firing brilliantly, just tastes awful at the moment, i'll try a few blasts with the manual button, see if it can be burnt off - as opposed to inhaling it - yeurgg!

Sounds like it's too dry or your filler is maybe touching the woolly 'bridge' inside the attie.... have a looksee... cos if you try to burn anything off when its too dry in the first place, you'll most likely wreck the attie

Got rid of the burnt taste, thanks to the Janty forums for this...
Blew out both ends to empty any excess juice Rinsed under hot water for 30 seconds Blew out any excess water fired it without the cart, blowing into the atty at same time for about 12 seconds done this 5 times in total reprimed atty with 4 drops of juice filled cart, attached vaping great, no burnt taste
best method i've found, it works yee-harr

Your method is very similar to mine. A good way to stop the build-up happening in the first instance is to blow the atties through regularly and leave to drain out on kitchen paper overnight. Some people maintain it doesn't make any difference whether you clean the atties or not but I've found it really does help. Since December 5th last I've not lost a single atomizer although my early ones are now producing little vapour. Likewise my batteries - I still have them all working albeit some need recharging two or three times a day. Fox

Do you think it harms the batteries if you leave them on charge all day, or longer!!! IE if you forget all about them!!!

Lolli In theory the charger light turns green because the battery is fully charged and it is no longer trying to charge the battery because it knows it is full. So under normal conditions it should do no harm to the lifespan .
The only time you will have a problem is if the charger or the battery developes a fault then it is possible you may have an explosion.
That is why people stress not to leave them unattended - that goes for all batteries, protected and unprotected, camera, mobile phone, laptop etc ....not just the ones for e-cigs
