Shocking. Bring back Justin Edinburgh, Jason Dozzell and Paolo Tremazzani - might as well have our shocking team of the late 90s if we're going to play like that. For all his bluster, Sherwood has no idea how to set up a team. Naughton was completely outclassed, as he has been at LB all season. Kane may have potential but was that really the game to start him in? All we managed was hoofball for 90 minutes.

Sorry for the rant, but it's so depressing watching your best players leave, genuine world class talents, and be left watching that. Oh what I wouldn't give for a Bale run from deep...

Oh well, the goal we scored was lovely and Eriksen doesn't seem at all interested in leaving That and we'll have a proper manager in as soon as the World Cup is over, Sherwood has done a great job of showing exactly how clueless he is.

My thoughts turn to the Soton match in ten days time, I'll be doing my best to ignore Sunday and certainly won't be paying any attention to next Thursday. By ignore I mean probably watching it on the Sky app on my phone or finding a dodgy stream, getting really peed off and hitting the bourbon before the match is over. At least with Dawson, Chiriches and Capoue who could have filled in definitely out, Verts picking up that knock and Kaboul carrying a Ledley-like injury that means I'll be amazed if he can manage two and a half games in eight days, my expectations are as low as they could be.

I'm gutted that Ozil is out too, the match starting 11 v 10 was just about the only chance we had!

Chiriches, Dawson and Vertonghen out for the Benfica match. It would appear that Kaboul can play a little more than Ledley could in the past, but won't feature tomorrow. No recognised CBs fit enough to play, oh and Walker who did a job in the middle for Sheff Utd when called upon is likely to miss out too. At least we have an excuse for losing this one.

Naughton is like the kid in the playground who comes out in a flopsweat whenever the ball goes near him. I feel bad for him - in a few years time he might be a good player, but he's not ready for top flight first team action at the mo.

ill keep watching it, at least it's delaying having to do the washing up!

I might well have gone back to it.  Soldado's assist for Eriksen's second was lovely

As for Naughton, time isn't on his side, if he isn't ready for first team football at 25, he shouldn't be at Spurs.  Adam Smith couldn't be any worse, but we keep loaning him out.  Something tells me we'll pick up a couple of decent full backs in the summer and the likes of Naughton and Rose will be flogged.
