My lovely friend made this for me from a lovely piece of apple which came from a tree in our orchard. I am beyond thrilled, it is so beautiful. Sorry the pictures aren't brilliant, but I had to share

I was at one of my son's home last night when a dear friend of his turned up with a present for him. They are both music / guitar fanatics, and he had made a guitar from oak and a Cuban cigar box (he is a craftsman & wish I'd taken a pic now). It was not a toy, it played perfectly (my son has 20+ guitars). So much thought had gone into it, and far better than shop bought.
