We got a new TV last week, and as it's a Smart one, my OH said this morning 'perhaps we should initiate our one month free subscription to Netflix, as there's crap on the TV for the next few nights!'. That, from the OH, is fighting talk, so that means there's not even anything worth watching on Yesterday or More4 - she'll have been through the listings with a fine toothcomb. In our house, I don't get a lookin as far as the remote is concerned - things were so bad with that awful Pemberley programme last night that I ran out of lives on Candy Crush Saga!!!!!

I daren't say what I think of this years Xmas TV offerings (or any year come to that), as I could get banned! This is for those that decided on the programming for all channels though.....

I know they assume we're all out and about with family, but they're are millions where TV is their only comfort. But, hey, they've got mega salaries and why should they work through the holidays (for some) when they could be sunning themselves in Barbados, and just leave the tape running. Absolutely bl**dy disgraceful.

Torrents are your friend on days when the tv license fee has gone to waste.

Absolutely bl**dy disgraceful. Yep it was & is every high day or holiday, they let their computers take over & play re runs of re runs of re runs, doesn't matter a scrap to them & folk do watch tv. Why should we have to look elsewhere for televisual entertainment, when we're already paying via a TV license that we must HAVE by law, plus SKY/Virgin or whatever on top. It is a bloody disgrace, but nothing changes & they get away with it all the time.

Of all the times in the year when people switch on to overcome the awkwardness of being with family they've probably not spoken to since last Xmas (I do exclude myself from this)... they have again missed an opportunity to engage with their 'suckers' (sorry I meant customers). Big business really needs to engage with their customers (especially the media, and not just by putting up a comments section on their website, which is highly regulated and totally ignored). Technology is growing so fast, I'll probably be more aquainted with some guy in his garage in Siberia who offers me something I want, than some mega business (controlled by idiot suits) who think we've nowhere else to go. I so pray for the day when these meglomaniacs get their comeuppance and left with so much egg on their face. Rant over.

OMG... That's it... I'm logging off and going on an expedition to the North/South Pole... anywhere where there is NO TV... Just loveable penguins!

I've been on Ch4 all afternoon... first the horse racing... then 'Celebrity Come Dine With Me'... gradually getting me back to normal. You've still got time to watch Peter Stringfellow to host the last dinner party. It's been good.

Point taken... but I hadn't seen it... so did enjoy it.
