'Still Open all Hours' sadly proved that even a great actor needs a decent script to work with (which he didn't get). Mrs Smokey and I try to have a few unwatched DVDs for the Christmas period. Apart from Downton Abbey we have not watched at all except for the news and weather.

This love film etc is all very well but the bbc wants a lot of money off you just to have a tv in the house, they should be showing better stuff period. I remember when we just had 4 channels and there was always something on but now we've got loads and if you want to see a lot of programs you have to use sky or love film or at least have a fast enough broadband, no matter which you prefer you're still being shafted.

my observations.... Dr Who was....okay, but they're making the storylines waaaay too far-fetched in the last few series to be taken seriously any more.. Up until today, complete bag of cr@p Today, 6, yes, SIX of the last couple of year's classic NRL games on Premier Sports (on free viewing) including all three of this year's State of Origin series, two Grand Finals and a semi-final, recorded them all and currently watching back Wests Tigers v South Sydney Rabbitohs (along with all 4 Burgess brothers).... BOOM!!!!! ..and why, WHY, do the good progs (Walking Dead, Elementary, Person of Interest, etc., etc.) have to go "on a break until the New Year" (read Feb) ?? To make room for the xmas cr@p?? WHY ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I know I'm ranting, but it winds me up something chronic

3. a couple Of Walking Dead'though it's getting a bit boring now, I hear it's been cancelled in the USA Not that I know of. Still going strong last I heard. I saw the tweet from the producer I think but saw this as well. Season 5 On October 29, 2013, AMC renewed The Walking Dead for a fifth season, with Scott Gimple to return as showrunner.
