So have i, tried it and they take the goodness of good old fish and chips away, they provide dried out fish and chips....think they have gone all healthy malarkey crap and have took out all of the good old greasy fish and chips side away. Nothing better than greasy (not to greasy though) fish and chips covered in salt and vinegar/onion juice walking along on a wintery day  In my early career in the North West, I went to a meeting in Yorkshire, and we went for lunch at Harry Ramsdens at his first restaurant at Guiseley, West Yorkshire. It was absolutely brilliant, couldn't believe the service or the quality and quantity of the food. Is it so difficult to get back to those days? Not too difficult, move to west Yorkshire, they aint all good cos some cater for tourists lol, but you will find a decent one guaranteed. Ask them do they cook with oil or fat ( lard, dripping call it what you will ) if they say oil run a bloody mile to the nearest kebab shop. |

I can only say until you have tried Cod and Chips from Maria's fish and chip shop in the east end in London (fish bought from smithfields fish market daily, biggest fish market in london) i don't know, never tried up north fish Tease-smiley All i know is that they cannot cook Fish and Chips in Bournemouth (not what i have tasted anyway)  |

I won't be driving there for my supper then.
I have driven to Scarboro for fish n chips, sit at the harbour eat fish n chips n drive home - 140 mile or so journey.
They have no clue what fish n chips is in Oxford that I know for a fact.

This was only meant to be a 'diversion' for anyone who is bored tonight. It's turned into a very emotional subject and I suggest we petition the Gov't for a 'give us our fish and chips back'. It's not as if they've got anything else on their minds. is it?  |

Best fish & chips I've ever had, were from Truscott's in Newquay. Used to drive from the other side of Plymouth to go down there & have some, bliss!
