Everyone seems to go on about their wonder coils (the ones they have built) etc..but why? the bog standard coils that you can buy are perfectly ok! Most vapers, when they are just starting, want something simple yet satisfying. All this self coiling biz is very off-putting. Why make it too technical?..Make it easy instead. Why not recommend the best online coil for the top they are using at present?...and maybe the best for future toppers. Simpler IS better! Just my 2p's worth.

The bought ones are OK, good enough for me. However, homemade ones last much longer, you can renew the cotton, you can build them to a specific resistance to suit non VV/VW batteries or mechanical mods. A few months ago, I would have agreed with you 100%, having tried and failed SO many times with silica/ekowool and wire. The microcoils and cotton wool are something else though. Best of all, they're not £5.99.

As a non coily person I totally agree with you convertalthough I do hear that it's a lot cheaper to coil yourself, and if there was ever a Zombie Apocalypse we would all want to know someone who would step up to the mark and re-coil our clearos

We're all chasing the ultimate vape ... If you want more vapour and a bigger throat hit then building your own coils is the way to go ... Not that there's anything wrong with the top end clearos.... But it starts becoming a bit of a hobby rather than just a way to stop smoking

If you are talking in general, stock coils are fine for clearos, but any one advancing onto RDA's will want to taylor make to their own specification. ( you will have difficulty finding a readymade sub ohmm coil) I think

Everyone seems to go on about their wonder coils (the ones they have built) etc..but why? Have you TRIED or SEEN a good Custom coil set up?? the bog standard coils that you can buy are perfectly ok! Yes for "normal" vaping they are Most vapers, when they are just starting, want something simple yet satisfying. So buy they buy a coil set up that we recommend All this self coiling biz is very off-putting. WHY? when they can just ignore it, there are many here happy with standard coils but there are also enthusiasts here who want to experiment with a coil set up, no one is forcing anyone to go advanced straight away, if anything we recommend simple easy to use set ups for beginners. Why make it too technical?..Make it easy instead.  ERM have you read the Tutorials.......?; Why not recommend the best online coil for the top they are using at present? WE DO ...and maybe the best for future toppers. WE DO Simpler IS better! I agree but for BEGINNERS Just my 2p's worth.
I'll give you 1/2 p for it

Different strokes for different folks - some like to buy a coil and be happy with it, some build the same set up in all of their atties, and some like to build quad super nano dragon coils. Nothing wrong with any of it, and we're fortunate that this forum caters to everyone! * * and when I say cater, I mean help them spend their money

This is my take on this subject and for me, sums it up. You can get an Indian meal for two at Tesco for about a fiver or you can go to an quality Indian restaurant and have a meal. They both do the same job........but one does it a little better. Just my 2 rupees worth.

This what it's all about on here nobody will be judgmental about whatever kit/ rig you choose to use. Above all ENJOY

I lived in SE Asia for eight years and learnt the lot.

I started vaping on the 3rd of December last year and had my first rebuildable by February this year and never looked back. Maybe some aren't interested but some are, some ask about rebuildables fairly early on and so people respond with their views. If they're a total newb then usually people post links to the likes of the evod starter kit. What a strange thread topic, I can only presume someone fell out of bed today
