Help. Burnt taste new mini protank

Thanks Perpetua. If my evod head is no use then I have one last go at getting my protank up and running this evening. If that's a dud too then I have 4 little heads for you Super-Shiny.
Head 3 out my evod is sitting in the (washed) protank with some new juice. I've been sucking away on it without the battery. Giving it time to soak in so fingers crossed.
Even if they do work I'll probably still send them to you to get pimped

sammy13 I just noticed you asked what juice I had in it. It's my mix of Capella peppermint and coolmint and just a dash of joosejuice peppermint x

I tend to leave most new heads to sit for 20/30 minutes to absorb and become saturated with juice before I use them rednutt.

I just wondered if maybe the juice could have a burnty taste to it, but I wouldn't have thought so with mint.

Other than the head/ coil, I see no way that a protank could give a burnt taste, as in I see no way the protank itself could cause it.

Are you sure there is no security code on the box?
I think its a scratch off silver panel, like a scratch card? Trying to remember my boxes ???

it's times like I wish I had nice red hair ( well to be honest just hair..!) take the fine offer by Super-Shiny you will never look back after a micro coil and cotton, I have some kanger coils that could do with a makeover ...I don't mind putting on a wig if it helps

Ok I have my brand new head from RGM2 left to try. As a rough guide what should my settings be at on itaste vv?

Sack that. Rgm2 head doesn't fit in protank. So I've syphoned the ejuice out protank and put it in rgm2. This thing holds way more juice! Leaving this one sitting for 30 mins now, see how it goes. Thank god for my iclears tonight.

This is baffling me now, I don't have the itaste so not sure what settings it has but pop it on 3.4v if it has that, just to test it, you couldn't get much lower .
The rgm is supposed to take evod/ protank heads, someone on here uses them. Maybe yours is a different type, have you got a link to it?

I can't see past the iClears TBH 16's on the vv3 and 30's on the VTR perfect vape every time

rednutt, I've got to say, the kanger heads that came with my protank-IIs were hit'n'miss, a couple of them have a different material grommet in the bottom of the head which seems more prone to the coil legs heating up (and therefore melting a bit, giving the burned taste). Myepack is pretty cheap for pt/evod/rgm heads (all the same), so it might be worth investing in a pack or two of 1.8ohm for your three tanks, and then learn to re-coil them using pre-made coils/wicks from fasttech - only takes 5 mins and they are NR-R-NR wire, so they don't melt yer grommets (and they work out to about 4 pence each)

nothing above 3.7 should be fine that's what the evod batt gives out normal egos are about 3.3 if you want to use watts 6.5 should be safe

I always put juice on he wick and I also put a drop down the hole then a few dry pulls ( just suck without firing ) that's about the only priming I do

sammy13 here's the link to RGM2. It just won't go down the hole!
I just had a thought, back when I first posted on here I'm sure I mentioned being a top coil kinda gal just because my evod didn't taste/vape right. Clearly a crappy head. I've just looked out my kanger T3S. It's a temperamental little bugger (I think the post needs prising down a little as it's connection is dodgy) . You need to screw it on tight and then a little more to make a connection. Just popped that on my itaste and at 3.5v I started at 6w and had to got up to 7w to get more vapor and flavour and it got much better. Looks like that's the only bottom coil I have that's working and am I right in think this is the same head also???

sounds like the centre pin on the battery may need easing up slightly so you don't have to screw down the t3s so much. Also, the T3s has a slightly different head from pt/evod unfortunately...they look very similar, but not interchangeable

I have the RGM2 and protank mini 2's they take the same heads mine are all mixed together no idea which came with which lol. Maybe you crossed threaded it. The RGM2 sits flush to the base looks slightly different to the protank mini but works with no leaks.

I think the t3s is a different coil but I don't have any so not sure.

The coil from the rgm, wont go down the hole of the protank?
Mmmmm, strange the coils that came with the protank, and the evod coil do they look the same size as in the post bit?
