E-cigarette users in UK have 'tripled' since 2010Smoking rate fall Deborah Arnott, chief executive of Ash, said: "The dramatic rise in use of electronic cigarettes over the past four years suggests that smokers are increasingly turning to these devices to help them cut down or quit smoking. Significantly, usage among non-smokers remains negligible." VTTV best them to the scoop. Guardian artical on the same

There has just been a bit on BBC breakfast about it.
They did one of those carbon dioxide tests.
Before man scored a 4 lady said that's what they would get from someone who they classed as a non smoker
Next the man smoked an e-cig (Looked like some sort of mod) the man also scored a 4. lady said it was the same as a non smoker
The man next smoked on a real Cig. Man scored a 10. Lady said that is the sort of score that a smoker would have.
They had a man on saying that if we bad e-cigs then all we will be doing to condemning to death a lot of people who would have lived had they been allowed to use e-cigs. He said something like 60% of people who tried to give up using some sort of e-cig had been able to keep off them long term.
The pice did not put over that they were safe. Nor did it put over that they were unsafe. But It did try to say that they were the lesser of two evils , Well that;s what I took from it anyway.

Debbie Arnott of ASH UK just been on LBC radio bigging up e-cigs, and also (a pet hate of mine) saying the biggest mistake was calling them "cigs" in the first place, but VERY VERY POSITIVE

Watching it now . . . at least there are some sensible voices of reason for a change. What I've not seen mention of yet, is the use of ecigs for those of us who never wanted nor have the intention of ' quitting ' nicotine.
Long term use of our devices was always my intention.

I will admit it's My Intention too

The vaping community is turning into a big voting block and it will continue to grow and have greater influence. 2 million vapers/voters is a very large lobby. No party, no matter how big can ignore that any more.

I'm assuming it's on Nick Ferrari's programme.

Are they scared, keeping a low profile, or just busy plotting in Smokey rooms?
